  1. especially at smaller away grounds where the pitch is narrower.
  2. cardiff and lincoln will draw, leaving us to close the gap hence a 1-1 draw.
  3. iam in full agreement with you, would like to see him play in front of simons and airhorn
  4. for me the issues we have is our 2 centre halfs shit themselves when they get the ball,so sheehan has to drop deep leaving our only othere midfield on his own, if we are to continue playing like that play 5 men in midfield and have 2 number 10s (mcatee and randall) playing off our striker but also there to back midfield numbers up. dont get the persistance with johnston week in week out, defensively he is ok but distribution is awful
  5. 4-2-3-1 at home and 4-3-2-1 away from home 3 central midfielders away from hone with 2 number 10s especially on the narrower pitches
  6. i see alot of our problems are in midfield for me,not much diiferent from when evatt was here, when sheehan plays hes our best passer of a ball, but he drops far to deep to pick the ball up leaving only 1 in midfield, thus the no10 dropping deeper and leaving our strikers isolated. away from home we should play 4321, instead of 2 wingers play to no10's more so if dalby plays.
  7. i think away from home at places like wycombe we should play 4321 with simmons and airhorn always picked, if dalby is playing we dont play wingers we play 2 number 10's who can feed of him
  8. i think our midfield was all wrong yesterday, morley offered nothing, burstow was to isolated to do much, i think we are to right side attacking which is sort of understandable with acd, form. i thought when dalby came on he won every header and held it up well but was too isolated.gets a lot of stick does dalby, but rather than have to widemen when he plays put the 2 wingers in a no 10 role so the can link up with the striker a bit better.
  9. imagine lifts being fucked, makes newcastle away seen ok now
  10. they will score. we cant keep clean sheets,
  11. i agree i think sheehan would be better further up the pitch. also ide play cyrus christie at right back for a little bit of experience and solidity
  12. iam not expecting anything on saturday, as soon as the crowd goes over 23000 ish the bottle jobs will be back on the pitch.
  13. ive been saying that for ages, our best passer of a ball.
  14. simons and airhorn should be our midfield 2 away from home, especially at grounds were we find it tough going.
  15. think simmons and erahon are playing a level below where there capable of a definate improvemment on previous years, would like to see sheehan pushed into the no10 role as i think hes more than capable of playing there
  16. is it me or is it only the east stand open tonight
  17. genuinely cant see a league 2 club paying over £1 million for a player no matter how much money they have, no matter what anyone thinks of collins i think it would be suicide to sell a striker who scores over 15 goals to anybody.
  18. all part of growing up in the 70s and 80s.
  19. got a bottle over my head that day in the trotters, i was only 8
  20. me and miss fester are in,there was a quality pub just down the road from there, iam a sucker for a bit of terracing. and quite like the ground.
  21. i wasnt the most impressive start for him, can we send him back
  22. i fully expect another humiliating defeat to these fuckers. those wanting 3 in midfield no it wont happen and as usual we will get over run in midfield, i fully expect to be heading back into town by half time. fingers crossed that they turn up this time and evatt keeps his mouth shut all week, any defeat signals the end of him for me,
  23. sam hird leaving the baxter injury the fact 7/8 players in the last years of there contract
  24. all i see is week after week, our midfield getting over run, put 3 central midfielders in, boss midfield and youll win the game
