debut goals work wonders, the price tag wont weigh as heavy on him now. we had a forward once called john dahl tommasson, missed an absoloute sitter on his debut, and again on his 2nd game, and never recovered. he played the full season but had a shocker. he then went on to play for ac milan and win the champs league. a few ex players books ive read have claimed his confidence had gone early on, he was awesome in training, but just couldnt quite do it on the day. shame. but it happens.

sam jacks (top of the bigg market, near chinatown, 2 min walk from the ground) is good pre-match, is is the three bulls at haymarket (also very near the ground). you'll be fine anywhere though, there's never any bother, away fans are always taken in good spirit. i wont speak for the daft cunts who like a scrap, dont know where they would go, but 99% of the places you'll go and th epeople you'll meet wont be any bother, the places ive mentioned are porbably your best bet.

he was shite. started off very well, and then quickly went shite, whilst the rest of the country thought he was great, those who watched him every week knew he wasn't. a bit like nolan maybe? not sure what your lots thoughts are on him, but a few bolton fans i know think he is shocking. butt is butt, gets stuck in every week as he always has, ive never particularly liked or disliked him, but i know some of the idiots took badly to his behaviour in the semi final defeat to manure.

why, what does it say on the can??? i can only comment on what we have seen so far, i didn't see him at your place last season so i can't comment on that, but for us so far he has been very good. of course it is very early days, and we saw similar from scott parker before he quickly went to shite. i think a debut performance like that at old trafford is pretty impressive personally. time will tell if he can keep it up for us.

he was quality today. and has been all pre-season, especially against valencia last week. very good on the ball, comfortable and clever, rarley gives it away is what we've seen so far. looks a good buy for us.

i thought his excuse of 'wanting to move back to the north west' was a bit odd. i don't recall stoke being in the north west!

he's looked technically very good in our pre season games so far. never, ever gives the ball away. is this somehting that could have been said of him in the prem last season?

thanks for the feedback lads! he's signed on a 4 year deal. i think he is a squad filler more than anything, and like has been said, maybe one for the future. cheers.
