  1. Now I dont know about his sexual preferences - but Mr Gavin (at the time) was not a shite footballer. His goal at home to Gillingham (won 3-0) is still one of the best I've seen.
  2. For me Al Habsi (based on performances) is a better all round keeper. However..........................Jussi was fantastic on Saturday - no 2 ways about it. Just remember - one swallow doesnt make a summer
  3. I thought it was a clear pen?? And I think Howard Webb is only bettered by Uriah Rennie as a ref
  4. IMO - Rioch a much better manager than BSA. Not disputing Sam's success or anything - but he is tacticallty inept when compared to the great BRUCE! And........Brannigan was so much better than Jussi............IMO
  5. Put your rod away... You are fishing surely????????!!! If Jussi is our number 1 next year - we are taking a very big backward step IMVHO
  6. You think we could get Barton on the cheap.....regardless of him being a bit of a scumbag......he's not actually a bad player.....IMHO
  7. CAMPO - when we needed to steady the ship he was always there. For me he is a Wanderers Legend. Gutted he's going but it is the right decision - mothertime has caught up with him. STELIOS - again nothing but admiration for the guy - not in the same league as CAMPO (IMO) but still a great servant to the club. Right decision to let him go. JUSSI - should be going to.
  8. Kin ell - you didnt know me mam 36 years ago did you Smiffs??! I'm a one leg benter and uncovered chap too. I go Commando though - no matter the weather.. - unless the wifes hanging off me that is.........
  9. Krakow - great place. Agree with all the above. Only been the once - would love to go back
  10. Were a couple off GERS fans on Talkshite this morning staying they where staying at a 'hotel' on Castle Street in Bolton and asking Irani how far it was into Manchester.... Now...... I bet your all thinking what I'm thinking............ And Irani gave them duff information aswell.. Having said that..Hope the Gers do it just to p1ss the left peggers off. Follow Follow and all that
  11. Things is Mounts..unless the Kevs are a couple of right ar se lickers (I dont think these two are), they have quite a high regard for Meggers and what he has done for BWFC. At the risk of being a lone voice in a very large auditorium - I don't think Megson is as tactically inept as people are suggesting. For every Lisbon away - there has been a Munich - and I will say it again - Portsmouth at home this season was the best football I have seen us play in 2-3 years. The signings he has made (Rasiak accepted) have made a difference to our team....for the better.....IMVHO
  12. Thing is......we all knew it was untrue and done to wind us up...I wasn't fooled and I dare say most other people on here werent either. Thing with Old Red Nose is, he got away with it once with the curly haired cavalier (Keegan) and now thinks he is the master of mind games....
  13. Would have been the same result if he had backed Red Kenny Cass - against broadcasting rules. Pity Gaunty couldnt have opened his big gob aswell
  14. Best: A fine perfume on a lovely lady...ugly birds make them smell worse I find.. Worst: My dogs (Rotty) tuna farts - blows off for England the durty mutt. Dont give yer dog too much tuna Im telling thee
  15. How about we beat Chelsea 1-0 and Wiggin beat Utd 25-0....... ...can dream cant we
  16. If you really want to whip yourself up into a frenzy Zico - watch the highlights of Rioch's first season in charge................DVD gold! And as for Megson..........still think Portsmouth at home is the best football we have played in the last 2 years?
  17. I'm going at it at the same angle ; surely big brother Gaz would be in there alongside that prince charming called Ian Dowie?
  18. Just going back to what Smiffs said before about the I vote Labour cos my dad did possie.....getting the distinct impression its the same but with a tory slant on it for BD. For the 1st time every I didnt vote yesterday.....thats cos I was on the piss in Leeds and forget to fill my postal vote thing in - wasnt a protest!.......saved me the tough choice of possibly voting tory for the 1st time ever. That being said....the main reason I dont vote Tory (aside the fact that traditionally my family are Labour voters) was because of the damage Thatcher did when she was in power. You think the economy is bad now (I'm not seeing it by the way) in the 80's - it was so much worse. Chances are Davey C will have my vote at the election - Brown is classic case of a good number 2; who isnt a good number 1 - bit like LSL. Having said that BD - I agree with you on Ruth Kelly -
  19. Very good point I'm in the Megson should stay (if we stay up) camp Fans turned against him after the Lisbon away thing - but prior to that - he was doing OK. I'll go as far as saying Portsmouth and Athletico at home are among the best home performances I've seen from the Whites in the last 10 years? Dont think he is as tactcally naive as we are making out. Just an observation. And secondly - for those who doubted Al Habsi........
  20. Am I alone in thinking McCann and Taylor did OK last night?
  21. He is getting into goal scoring positions regularily though. Be like a bus....once one goes in he will get a glut full. Just hope that number 47 bus for Bradshaw turns up soon....games are running out
  22. Al Habsi is a much better 'all-round' keeper than Jussi. Mark my words - he will be one of the best in prem (being positive and assuming we stay there) over the next couple of years.
  23. Knew you would come around to my way of thinking eventually!! Al Habsi - is our number one IMO. Didnt cack myself once when the ball (albeit on the very rare occasion) came high into our penalty box. Also - as has been said - his distribution was excellent - couple of errors granted - but on the whole a lot better.
