I think Gardner's having a good season.

 

Has to take some of the blame for the first goal today but I wouldn't leave him out of the team the way he's been playing these last few weeks. His commitment to keep the ball in play for our second goal today was fantastic.

gardner was appalling today.

The defence had bad day all round. But Samuel wouldn't have improved affairs.

 

I'm not fan of his whatsoever. What is with fans wanting Samuel to play, or wanting to push Gardner forward? Can't think of many Premiership left backs I'd rather have. Not saying much, but still.

 

Gardner isn't a winger. But he's certainly up to playing at left back.

I think Stelios should be given more opportunities too, he can score goals and that's a valuable trait

 

But comparing him to Davies is daft, completely different types of player

Samual hasn't impressed me at all since he arrived. Looked and played better as a Villa player than he has done for us up to now.

I'd rather put Martin Samuel at left-back.

people forget that it was Gardner's persistence that led to our 2nd goal.

so in theory, if he was at fault for their first, he made up for it for our 2nd.

Gardner was player of the season at left back a couple of seasons back. Of course he is good enough

Nicky Hunt got a 4, as he apparently "lost the battle".

Can't actually recall a good game from him, leave well alone, we have enough midfielders, we certainly don;t need Ricky G competing in tha tdepartment when we havn't got a single competitor for his place at LB
