  1. Giving them loads of space with their long balls. Apter is yet again randallesque
  2. Sheehan was underwhelming again today. Slowly of the opinion that he's overrated. Should be showing his best to get in a possible world cup squad? Seems to be on the ball a lot but often wastes passes forward and his dead ball deliveries are floated weakly. Johnston did well at left back, he deliver a few whipped in crosses that looked dangerous. Apter yet again seems very Randalleasque. Baffled why we didn't start with 2 strikers. Other than Cardiff and Lincoln, there not much between the rest in the top half. Bad in both boxes was a quote from SS, months ago and not much has improved regarding this. We really do panic at the back when teams attack us. Playoffs against the likes of Stockport, Huddersfield and Bradford have a familiar unpleasant stench about them.
  3. This has been a problem all season long
  4. Seems like sweeping changes. SS telling us yesterday that so many of the squad are fit. Feels like a random punt. Prove me totally wrong, please...
  5. Showed a lot of fight in the last 15 mins. Probably fortunate not to concede a second. Bonham superb. Kenny looked a real handful. RR, quality too. We'd have taken a draw at 3 o'clock. Not at our best today but several positives. Tutu scares the shit out of me defensively. Sheehan struggled to get the ball forward. Super Sammy dalby. IE under pressure at Blackpool BTW.
  6. No ht changes. That's disappointing
  7. I would like to see a couple of ht subs, eharahon and apter off, simons/ sheehan on. We never make ht subs. Dalby seems isolated even though macatee is playing OK but too deep. If we aspire to get 2nd spot, this next 45 will be telling...
  8. We are now getting schooled here. Their players are exaggerating injury after every foul and th ref is having it each time. We need to get more street wise. Our players don't apply the dark arts and its costing us
  9. Apter looking a bit randallesque today
  10. Failed to score when on top. Getting bossed now, tough game this
  11. I've often thought we looked good on paper pre.match, but that squad should really be winning this game, if coached and motivated.

So pleased the way super Sam has developed. He is a proper handful and is a bit too honest about being fouled. McAtee also has raised his game, very much a confidence player. Apter and CBT are upgrades and competition for places is healthy. RR and JK will push for a place too. The handball from their keeper was a disgrace, we could see 3 seconds out what was happening and the lino was in a perfect position, its his call. Forino also improving in time on the pitch. EE gave it away a handful of time particularly in the 1st half, needs a bit more composure at times, but he is tenacious in the tackle. I wonder where sheehan fits in now, we've not really missed him. Dempsey was more involved today and his corners were excellent. So many positives going forward. A bottle tester next week.
  13. Seems Hardie isn't even fit and Wrexham wanted an up front fee, so I totally get why we dropped out. JK, looks a handful on YouTube, so if fit he can surely cause problems for 1st div defences. An excellent transfer window.
  14. A fair summary
  15. Was Fergal saying much about any other signings today in the pub?
  16. Cissoko is one of our weakest kickers. Seems to close his foot at impact. Hooding the club for our golfers. 3 other examples today, McAtee shot, pass to the goalie and apters sorry attempt in the first half. And Burstow shot in the 2nd half. For so many of our pros to be weak in this area, probably speaks volumes of the standard that we're at. Let's hope our new striker is good at kicking the ball properly. It may be a confidence thing but it's a consistent trait
  17. Been saying for a while that ball kicking isn't 1 of our strengths
  18. Need to kill this game off early in the 2nd half. We have faded in games too often...
  19. Great business for the club. I wish Morley well. Initially thought we had a real gem on our hands when he first came to us. But, I think he's peaked. Not strong, fast or skillful enough and can't tackle. Good pen taker and one of our better crossers of the ball.
  20. Oli?
  21. Conceded with their 1 sot. Morley can go, but he's not been good for a long time. Credit to Dalby. Some very good link up play and good sniffer finishes. We must play another striker with him, with pace. Rubbish standard of football. Another win. On we go. Still waiting to enjoy a couple of performances soon...
  22. Dynamic half time changes in personnel or tactics. I hope so
  23. Absolutely this. SS is watching it too he has a job to do.
  24. Dalby has no pace whatsoever but he can head ot on. He needs a partner with pace, from somewhere?
  25. We don't have one player who can run forward with pace. Deja vu all over again...
