Luton Town (A)
This is why feigning serious injury is now so prevalent. It leads the ref to believe it was a bad foul and gets the culprit carded. Sad sign of the times Different Luton players did this for each of Simons cards and their Vergil lookalike did the same in the 1st half, pretending he'd caught a flailing arm to the mouth.

Very few positives today, surely. The bookies still fancy us though

Luton Town (A)
If today was a barometer for where we are in the promotion race, we are miles off it. That said, there are no stand out sides that look like running away with it, it is a poor standard. Which makes me wince at the thought of us getting promoted. The wholesale changes and spending required to even stay in the championship would be collosal. Cross that bridge......I guess?

Well that was utter rubbish. We looked nothing like promotion candidates today. Backs to the wall, we defended quite well but away from home we struggle to control the game. Our midfield was anonymous today. Simons edging it, both his cards were harsh, but its a modern tactic to pretend your injured when tackled and both resulted in cards. SS should have changed the midfield before the sending off by swaping either of Morley.or dempsey, both of whom were poor for eharehan. Got battered by a physical side and lucky to get a point. SS still doing little to prove his in game tactics today. Morley, can't tackle or run forward with the ball, he's not "dynamic or robust"

Lucky to be ahead. Morley off for ehraharn. Typical of a game that we are doomed to lose at this point. All other top teams up too. Season defining as has been said earlier

Luton Town (A)
Should be a pen that. Luton have woken up. Each time Morley tries to pass the ball forward, he gives it away. Bairstow dodgy start too

Ah OK. I didn't know that.

Sheehan, Christie nowhere to be seen?Morley needs a performance today or when all others are fit he is down the pecking order.

Bradford City (H)
I've been saying the same thing with Morley.

Bradford City (H)
The "set piece" situation seems impotent. Christie seems to have been chosen for the deliveries, to no effect. I can't remember the last time that we scored direct from a free kick, also. If its a facet that we are practising then it ain't working.

Bradford City (H)
Unfortunately a familiar story of missed chances in the 1st half. 2nd half was more even and Bradford grew in confidence at not being behind. I don't think we play the dark arts? But Bradford certainly did today with cynical fouls and time wasting. Max Conway was poor today, but generally I thought we defended really well. I prefer Christie to cogley. ACD had a quite game today, he had a few chances in the 1st half but didn't feature much thereafter against a full back who had been on a yellow card for most of the match. I'm not a big fan of morleys, he rarely plays anything other than the predictable, safe pass and cannot tackle. That said, I thought simons wasn't great when he replaced him. Our shots to converted chances is awful, but with a deep squad, we will be there or thereabouts. The bookies still fancy us

Oldham Athletic (A) - EFL Trophy
I think that Morley is very limited in what he brings. Particularly as we are now much stronger in midfield.

Oldham Athletic (A) - EFL Trophy
Early observations. Oldham very physical. Without sheehan and simons, we struggle to get the ball forward from midfield. Chance for Morley to make his mark against inferior opposition. I've just realised he can't beat a man with a dribble or forward run, he just moves the ball on. McAtee powerful runs he lacks quality of the final pass/shot. Here's Morley with the pen.....

Not sure about this sympathy for Randall. He's been given ample opportunities to show what he can do and failed, totally. He seems like a nice, possibly too nice a lad, so what? He was fortunate that IE wanted him and is being well paid, given 3rd tier wages. I'd be interested to hear SS explanation of why he has had so much game time recently. He's keeping better players out of the team and need to go on loan to Mr Evatt in January, yes please!

Very tight league ATM, but there are no stand out big clubs, i.e Birmingham and Wrexham with their money. We are now 3/1 favs to win the thing. Going up thus season is a must!

We were poor for the fist 25 mins and could well have conceded. Confidence grew after the 1st goal. Sissoko must be a nightmare to play against, however for all his entertaining trickery, he's not great at kicking the ball. All good across the back. Sheehan grew into the game and bossed it in the end. ADC is a joy at this level. He will not play in div 1 next year. As others have said, dempsey was the polar opposite of what Randall serves up. Everyone has seen enough of JR to know that he hasn't got what it takes. We have a deep squad and healthy competition in several positions. We were purring for the last 30 mins or so. Confidence is high. Happy days!

Huddersfield Town (H) - FA Cup 1st Round
A lot of praise being given to our players today and rightly so. But Randall; he gets stick around where I normally sit and sat in a different tier today, the criticism seems the same. He always goes for the safe pass. He is weak and backs out of challenges. He messes up when the big chances fall to him. The one from 6yds out in the first half was typical, he topped it into the deck. There was also an occasion where ADC did his high speed dumy and dribble and he passed it to Randall, where time stood still in contrast. I believe we are in a rich vein of form and we have some good players and a deep squad. But I think we've all seen enough of Randall to make an informed decision. He's a weak link, was expensive and if we can loan him or move him on in January that would be good business.

Huddersfield Town (H) - FA Cup 1st Round
I,enjoyed that. We are looking stronger each game. Made a load of changes against a decent Huddersfield side and were in control for the majority of the match. The chasing down was excellent and I can see that there is competition for places. Christie, sheehan, Taylor and sissoko caught the eye. Johnstone and toal were aggressive Huddersfield have spent big and put a strong side out. We were the better side and 2.1 flattered them I think. Getting positive vibes all round. A bit odd that we were all squoze into one lowere tier?

2 decent teams out there today. Top of the league and no sot. I've said in the past that I'm waiting for a good team to have a go at our defence, because we can look weak defending. Only.sign of that today was their header in the 1st half that was a lapse. Good 7/10 performances all round. We closed down well and got some good tackles in. Simons in particular. ACD superb and we'll do well to keep him for the whole season.

Huddersfield Town (A)
I keep commenting that no team has been good enough to have a proper go at our defence, because I think we are a shambles when under attack. I thought after their early goal that Huddersfield would be the first to do just that. But we finished the first half on top and totally dominated the 2nd half. It turns out that Huddersfield were pretty poor. And they've spent bigger than us. Maybe Cardiff will have a go, but I'm also thinking we might be decent overall at this level. Best team won, but our chance conversion rate is still troubling. Great away support, probably played a big part of the high momentum.
