  1. Well done Amir, that was quality Cannot believe how Roche has turned him around.
  2. Hovis Presley, As the sound of barrel scraping reaches new heights - Sheephead, formerly of Soccer A.M.
  3. Do they still do cider lollies? Used to have them as a kid from Manfredi's ice cream van.
  4. Does it count double if you spotted him in the away end If it wasn't him then it must have been Gary Speed wearing a parka.
  5. Totally agree with the comment about Knight he was very good today as were Cahill and Cohen. Anybody else notice the unpleasant smell whafting over the stand throughout the proceedings? To me it smelt like pea wet
  6. Also in the programme there were 'in memorium' tributes to Derrick Warburton, ex Vice President, and John Deady who was a 'great friend of the club.'
  7. I too am somewhere on that photo, but if memory serves then the attendance was given at around the 20 thousand mark
  8. Can't remember the Bolton team - Siddall, Rimmer, Greaves, Byrom - at a guess, but a young John Toshack scored both for Cardiff in a 2 nil win for them, early seventies.
  9. From my lofty perch in the Great Lever seats I recall it kicking off big time towards the Embankment end.
  10. Bastardised by the Rugger boys - The World in Union
  11. Just getting ready to set off for Turnberry to watch Saturday and Sunday. First went to the Open in 1986 (also at Turnberry) and caught the bug, bit like watching the Whites tbh. ?55 for each day, which when compared to any other sport is good value imo. Have also attended 4 Ryder Cups, totally different from the Open, but must admit more enjoyable.
  12. Top spot Sluffy Dare I ask wtf were you doing delving into the murkiness of the FIVE tv listings' schedule at that unholy hour?
  13. Here's one that also used to be on every 6 week holiday...
  14. Quality clip I would have normally been on the Embankment, but for a Christmas treat my dad took me in the Lever End for this one.
  15. I went to that one, I've still got the net peg that I managed to 'obtain' from the Lever End goal when the crowd invaded at the end. Official attendance given at around 20 thousand - there were definately more than that on.
  16. How the fcukerty did he miss the one where he dived at the wicket with the ball in his hand only to drop the basterd an inch shy of hitting the stumps, has he had a bet on em at 1000/1?
  17. What a fcuking shambles - just heard Atherton say that there's only 7 grass pitches in the whole of Holland and they've got 6000 players to pick from Collingwood/Megson OUT!
  18. Heave a Havana Edit - also, Ah's geet a shippin' load
  19. How Soon is Now from last night - The version he did at Liverpool was better - :p
  20. I couldn't get a ticket for love nor money for toneet at the Apollo, had to make do with Liverpool 2 weeks ago instead. The Smiths songs he sang were the highlight by far.
  21. I agree, The Office and Fawlty Towers were both excellent as was Father Ted
