  1. Along with probably 99% of football fans, I've never met Bobby Robson. It still didn't stop me offering my sympathy when he was diagnosed with cancer. No roses tinted specs, its a cruel situation for anybody to be in.
  2. Sure there was a Blackpool manager, might even have been Megson, getting abuse one match from a fan who kept shouting that the manager didn't know what he was doing. So the manager told him to come down to the training ground and he could show the players what they should be doing. The fan turned up and after a few minutes had to admit that he didn't have a clue what to do.
  3. Does gaga have a cock then?
  4. I think it will boil down to how he reacts if/when it starts to go wrong. Similar things were said about Hull last season, when they were beating Arsenal etc. And when things started to go wrong, Brown had his Man City moment and it escalated from there. Granted, they stayed up but that was probably more down to how awful the bottom three were.
  5. You're right about the Birkenhau bit, when you go up in the tower and it stretches as far as the eye can see. Harrowing is probably the best word to describe it. Also went to the salt mine, which was well worth the visit. A bit of a journey out and I reckon the bus driver must have watched Speed too many times judging by his driving. Got hooked on the Zywiec too whilst I was out there, was a couple of years ago, and still drink it now. Had a few before the match on saturday.
  6. Apparently the person who does the voice for the meerkat is the geordie bloke from Alan Partridge Anybody looked on comparethemeerkat website though?
  7. [quote name='Astonishing Undercrackers' date='Aug 21 2009, 10:57 PM' post='66857 What was that clear cola called that someone fetched out a while back? Anyhow, back to yon Pikey twat. Why didn't someone nick his doubtlessly pilfered can of The Real Thing, pop a couple of Mentos in it, give it a shake, hand it back to the Pikey, step back and enjoy? Then, just as he?s wondering as to how he?s become caked in sticky pop, stick a tyre over his head, douse him in petrol, ignite and voila! A right old result, I'm sure you'd agree! Tab clear or summat? And one the subject of old drinks - quattro - can't remember if it was any good mind
  8. I was surprised at where it took place. Normally when you read about stories like this, it has happened in the north east.
  9. Was that actually medically proven or was it just speculated? Just asking the question, rather than wanting to cast doubt. And I reckon Phil Collins should have spent some time at Her Majesty's pleasure for that god awful film and soundtrack
  10. Taylor's corner taking was awful. On a number of times he couldn't get it past the first man. Whilst we had all those attempts and were the better team for long periods, it seemed that we wouldn't score. And i was pissed off i couldn't get a pint at half time as well.
  11. I thought it was a bit sad that when they scored, the cameras panned round on the crowd to show grown men dancing in time with music being played through the tannoys. A bit like they do in super league rugby, but then its usually fat women from wigan or hull.
  12. Adding to the list of people who get comments from leeds fans, got told he is championship at best, and has a habit of mouthing off at refs and getting sent off for stupid things of his own making. Quite often in the big matches when leeds need him most as well. Think he got sent off in last season's play offs against millwall due to his stupid behaviour.
  13. 0-0 Boring game I'll be pissed afterwards
  14. Now where I live over in East Yorkshire there has been a particular problem, they park up on school fields then f?ck off a bit later leaving the football pitch littered with empty gas cylinders, shitty nappies and empty beer bottles. This usually happens in Bridlington, which I don't have a problem with normally as it is usually full of undesirables from Castleford and Wakefield anyway. And sometimes its hard to spot the difference. But the problem is the Council has provided them with an area for them to stay, the gypos not the west yorkshire folk, but they don't want it as they claim the facilities aren't up to the level they want. There are plenty of tourist caravan sites in the area so if they want a warm shower then go there and pay for it. But what it probably really boils down to is that there aren't any properties nearby so there's a lack of copper piping and slate roof tiles.
  15. Then you need help
  16. If they're that bad, why didn't we go down?
  17. Does he really have a go at us? Ok so he uses a qoute from Karren Brady as the start of his article but over the years she's proved that she knows f?ck all about football anyway. Yes Samuel can be a tw?t at times, but I think most people are picking up on the fact that he is the author and he dares mention Bolton in his article. Rather than the content
  18. Went there a few years back and it must have been the coldest day there since records began. That was in March though. Did the usual thing at first wandering around the centre and you will find bars but all a bit on the pricey side. And there's the token irish bar. As with most places you will need to avoid the centre and look more for the side streets, then you'll find bars offering lager combined with all different types of fruit. It isn't that big a place, but can't remember the streets where I found the bars, and quite a lot just lead into residential areas. As I don't speak fluent french/dutch/flemish or whatever language they choose to speak depending on what day of the week it is, this made the task a bit harder. But it is a nice place though
  19. Not sure that Nugent would be good business, he's proved nothing at pompey to convince me that he would strengthen the squad other than him being an additional forward just for the sake of numbers. In fact I'd even give Shittu a spell up front before buying him, only based on the fact that he took out Wigan's keeper when they beat us 1-0 last season.
  20. Can you get Jezza in Greece? Or do they have an equivalent?
  21. Was it served in a white creamy sauce and did you enjoy it? I was p?ssed at the time and was told it was a local delicacy so thought along the lines of when in rome... But I had quite a few more lagers and some local spirit afterwards and due to my drunken state I threw the whole lot up about three in the morning in the hotel. Must have been the one and only time I've had to explain to the missus that I was being sick because I'd had a set of bollocks in my mouth.
  22. Lets fall out of the premiership then, the loyal supporters will keep the club alive and everyone's happy.
  23. Wasn't Steve Bruce their manager when that happened? And whilst it was a monumental c?ck up by the officials, what does suspending them really achieve? If a Palace player had missed an open goal in the last minute would Warnock have dropped him and fined him a weeks wages? But any club that has Simon Jordan as chairman and Neil Warnock as manager gets very little sympathy from me.
  24. Bulls bollocks whilst in Latvia. Alcohol played a big part in the decision, and it was one of those foods that if I hadn't known what it was beforehand I'd have eaten no problem. But obviously knowing then followed by the white, creamy sauce it was served in really didn't help.
  25. As well as wanting the manager who bought him
