  1. Diddles, you're clearly a mentalist but I did like this emoticon
  2. Odemwingie? He's doubtful I heard. Either way, Mustard is confident of a home win
  3. Yep, I have, and the b!tch went on to break my heart. This ain't really what you're after, is it...
  4. Sid is an absolute legend. Apart from maybe writing Jossy's Giants, but then all creative geniuses have had a "Frog Chorus" moment. I'd love to think I were that funny when p!ssed, but sadly fear not. "Bristow reasons...Bristow quickens....aaaaah, Bristowwwww"
  5. The Liverpool team that day (courtesy of some swift googling): Bruce Grobbelaar, Gary Gillespie, Gary Ablett, Steve Nicol, Nigel Spackman, Alan Hansen, Peter Beardsley, John Aldridge, Ray Houghton, John Barnes, Steve McMahon Have to admit to feeling slightly disappointed to find Ablett in the stellar scouse (bstard) line-up...
  6. Agreed - that was a f00king amazing performance. Can distinctly remember Steve Sutton in the Forest nets laughing as he was picking the ball out of the onion bag - kind of like "what the f*ck am I expected to do against this???"
  7. Ha - it most certainly is, squire I have actually been known to do the same meself from time to time...
  8. Yeah, get all this and he's a decent bloke no arguments and says the right thing (PR-schooled to the nines, mind) and seems to genuinely care about the welfare of British sport but LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT?? P!ss off...
  9. We're a fickle lot, aren't we? He could bag a brace against West Brom and I'm sure the pendulum would swing the other way...
  10. Chicken Karahi from me favourite Injun JD Erdinger Stir Crazy Madonna (but before MG Whites has a go )
  11. Am I the only person on the planet who HATED Shutter Island?! Thought it was corny as - very easy to spot "the twist". Was fkin overjoyed when it finished. I love Scorcese and the way he shoots stuff, but the script just turned me right off. Humbug
  12. Ha - almost. We know what you mean, mate. What's a slightly misplaced subjunctive between Wanderers fans? The Kronenbourg at the SOL was the best pint I've had at an away ground in recent memory. Just thought I'd add that to make this pointless post slightly less pointless (but not by much)...
  13. His stats aren't all that. And in any case I know what I saw week-in-week-out for however many years he was with us. Anyway I think people know my view. I'm even boring myself now. Peace out.
  14. Aye, we did. Despite his inclusion though, in my opinion. That's the team game - the strength can carry the dead wood. Doesn't mean he wasn't sh!t though, which was my sole point.
  15. I've seen enough of Davies to be convinced he'd do an absolutely fine job on the right. He's got a good footballing brain, two feet and has a trick or two. We could do worse than have a few players like that in our team - it's only going to support keeping the ball moving and playing to feet. I also think he could do a job in the middle in the mould of Wilshere etc., but needs to improve in the physical aspect of the game. Will turn out to be a real good 'un, given time IMO.
  16. Sh!t player, no control, very lucky to be on professional terms. Amazed that so many Bolton fans couldn't see it. Always felt he had *access to some very incriminating evidence involving the BWFC hierarchy*, given his inexplicable longevity...
  17. I'm thinking draw. And that wouldn't be a bad point. 1-1.
  18. The punter in me says 1-1. The BELIEVER in me says 3-1...
  19. The Homes of Football "museum" in Ambleside is well worth a look around if you're up there. The exhibition came to Bolton museum a couple of years ago and was top notch. Some fabulous photos - look fookin immense blown up large scale as well. Can't believe any footy fan wouldn't enjoy...
