I thought that Evatt would struggle if we got into the Championship dealing with better more imaginative players when he couldn't handle Afolayan and fit his mercurial skills into the team. He fit into the Bundesliga ok though.

There wasn't one natural leader amongst them. Thommo was kind of shoved into the role as no-one else could step up. Too much arm waving after tackles and desperate claims for free kicks from the forwards added to our soft as shit mentality. Of the current players, probably only Dempsey, Forino or Thommo could take on that role unless we bring in a real leader to elsewhere

He was our star player but he became lazy and unmotivated especially when McAtee arrived who IMO was a bad influence. Think SS had seen enough and had to get rid of the dead wood around camp. Can't wait for McAtee to clear off next and I'm sure there are replacements lined up

Most of them in the last eight games, it almost seemed to me like they'd had a player's meeting and were going to stay loyal to the Evatt way and showed no passion or urgency to change for either the fans or a new manager. They almost seemed intent on throwing away any chance of a playoff spot. If that was the case, I don't blame SS for a total clear out.

Just watched the last 20 minutes and it was everything I hate about England summer friendlies. So far the same formula as the last two months. Start off like a house on fire, miss several easy chances, the opposition grow in confidence and start using their superior physical strength. Crowd get restless and then we lose our shape and eventually the game. Hope I'm wrong and we can go in front for a change but it's hard to get excited anymore with this team.
