At the Reading Festival in the 70s, we used to buy them, then use them to sit on instead of the muddy field whilst watching the bands

Rotherham United (H) - EFL Trophy
Simons was the standout player last night and would be the first name on my teamsheet for Saturday. Winning (even in this poxy competition) just like losing can be a disease that spreads and hopefully this is the start of our turnaround.

Shon was too lightweight for this division with big physical defenders and it's poor referees, who offer no protection. Hope Gale doesn't go the same way

Blackpool (A)
If it wasn't a pen, Sheehan is lucky the ref didn't see it as a dive and a yellow or else we would have been down to 10 men

Blackpool (A)
Had all fucking summer to get a goalscorer. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that's what we desperately need. Doesn't matter if we have 99% possession as there's nobody in this team that is lethal enough in that five yard box.

Blackpool (A)
Seem to be reverting to Evatt ball again but with better players. Just not direct enough and easily caught on the break with our slow defenders.

Blackpool (A)
Lots of passing and no cutting edge. One attack and one shot for them and one goal. Great reward for 15% of possession. Why Johnstone didn't get a tackle in early or take him out with a yellow I don't know.

Lincoln City (H)
They seem more physical and stronger than us..again. Also expecting these referees to be anything more than useless is naïve and constantly moaning about them every week, either on here or by the commentary team is getting boring and a poor excuse for us not being street wise enough for this league. We're a so much better team than last year but for some reason, it's just not clicking. Can't believe it's taken all summer and the first month of the season and still not found a proven goalscorer.

Lincoln City (H)
If ever the need for a goalscorer was evident, it's that last attack. Lincoln would have scored that opportunity

Reading (H)
Think we will have more success playing like last night away from home where teams can't just put 10 men behind the ball for 80 minutes in front of their own supporters. Think we missed Toal last night at the back and TuTu in defense is a big worry A big three points on Saturday is desperately needed.

Reading (H)
Everything went down our left for fifteen minutes and nothing was done to shore it up. You could see it coming and it did. We needed an extra defender brought on, not McAtee who's first touch was to give the ball away

Reading (H)
TuTu in defense is worrying. Keep thinking he'll mistime a pack pass or get caught in possession in a dangerous area. Erahon and Simons looking good. They're just hoping for a draw or breakaway goal. We're still missing that all important centre forward who's a handful, has an eye on goal and creates panic in the box.

Cogley probably rested for Saturday

Any news on a new striker? Would be good to get some latest updates from anywhere. The last 500 comments should've put under a new heading 'Memory Lane'

Thats a good description of this league

Don't want to hear about attitude problems. We had ZERO attitude as a team last season. Just what we need and more back up for the wing positions

Sheffield Wednesday (H) - League Cup Round 1
Will be watching from Innsbruck. Real Madrid team flew in and landed right behind us yesterday. More importantly we will win 2-0 tonight.

Shon works hard but is too lightweight for EFL1. He's got good pace but poor end product and no defensive skills at all. He's also built like a 14 year old and easy pushed off the ball. Good luck to him if he's leaving though.

Plymouth Argyle (H)
Great to finally have that target man with that pace down the wings.

Plymouth Argyle (H)
How come the dumb ass radio guys can't sort out a VPN and watch the match. This is horrible listening to this turgid babble. I've had to mute the sound it's so bad

Stockport County (A)
Conway looked good. Ref was useless as expected. McAtee missed a sitter. The first goal must have been a gut punch going in at half time when the best team. The obvious problem clear to everyone is no proven goalscorer/centre forward. Somebody that can put the ball into the net around the 6yd line. Same problem as last season and the owners need to find that extra 250k for the Celtic lad, otherwise this will be a repetitive story.

It's all coming from the left hand side. We had plenty of warnings. We need to stop that supply.
