  1. Separate. 15 Tickets arrived before 8am!!! Normal post not due till nearer lunchtime.
  2. Very simple and easy - I was impressed - 15 tickets now sorted - I think the ticket office deserve some credit for getting this right. 45 minutes wait to let me login, left the browser open and I carried on working, when it let me login it was less than 10 minutes to get all 15 tickets in one booking. Definitely better than the time I spent queuing outside Burnden for 6 hours for Wembley tickets.
  3. Just about sums it up. Col. Plus the question about foreign ownership, which allowed Gartside to say Eddie Davies had given ?100M to the club. Now as I understand it, this "gift" was Eddie buying the club and providing loans (at a nice rate of interest) e.g. the money to buy Elmander. Don't get me wrong I am grateful the club have Eddie's money, I am sure we wouldn't be watching premiership football without his investment. But what happens when Eddie Davies is no longer here? I am guessing his family will want the money out sharpish. Then what happens? I only thought of this afterwards, so a question for next time I guess. Also when answering the question about money being available for new players, Gartside let is slip that it is costing the club an additional ?4-?5M in wages for the new players (by my maths an average of ?20K a week) and that all the additional money from SKY, which has gone from ?4M a year (10 years ago) to nearly ?50M this year, all goes on wages. No real shock, I guess but still a staggering amount of money.
  4. Funniest part was so called life long West Ham fan David Gold failling to name the three West ham players who "won the world cup for England" and whose statues are outside their ground. He names Bobby Moore and can then be heard to say "help me out who are the other two".
  5. Lets hope they do get out of it or its just administration and the nine points deduction. Because if what I am told is true there is a worse scenario. If they go into administration and the administartor cannot solve things, then the business goes completely tits up, they get expelled from the league and all points won against them do not count - this would mean a 3 points loss for us.
  6. I seem to remember we had a supporters club in LA? Is that the only one? I work for a US owned company and have managed to educate a few that there is more to "Soccer" that just the Scum, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. I would like to put them in touch with a club if one exists. I tried a google search but couldn't find anything. Anyone know of one?
  7. Correct Fenerbache. How the hell did you get that. Thought it would need more clues than that.
  8. Two clues: photo taken earlier today and it was taken from a boat?
  9. Belgrade Marseille Madrid
  10. I'm amazed no one has mentioned this 80s classic http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rsXJcIODLtQ
  11. Peter Shilton 125 Caps for England, played against Wolves in the Play-Off semi Final against Wolves.
  12. I'd friends down for two days so had the day in Manchester with them. Atmosphere in Albert Square was great till about mid afternoon, when you could sense something would happen. So after the lads with tickets went to the ground we left the square - looks like we made the right decision. Managed to get in a pub just as they were shutting the doors. Cracking atmosphere, until the goal. I was talking to some guys who were stopping in Blackpool. Apparantly at Blackpool train station they made an announcmenet that they could only move 400 people every half an hour and as a result were not letting folk enter the station as it was too crowded. So these guys had got a taxi!! Cost them ?100. Also chatting with some others who were staying in Garstang!!
  13. Agreed Click on this link Snipe Been using it for years, reliable and not too expensive.
  14. For all those wishing to cash in on their spare tickets take a look at http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/ they even have a section for selling UEFA tickets. To those who offerred me your tickets, especially Carlos, Thanks.
  15. If anyone has any spares I need two for my mate. "Price no object" he told me. PM me if you have any spares. I can get the cash to you tomorrow.
  16. 1. Munich 3, Belgrade 1, Madrid 2, Lisbon 3 (Couldn't make Rabotnik) 2. None - But new Leave year 1st April its the first year I've never carried any days over to the next year. 3. Married (24 years), she knows how much this means to me, so understands why I do it. I never even asked about Lisbon, she correctly assumed I'd be going. 4. Not as much as you'd think. Against my better judgment I was persuaded to use Youth Hostels (I was wrong, they are excellent value for money - one in Madrid was superb) - Lisbon ?18 a night. Beer etc. I guess about ?200 a trip except for Belgrade which was tuppence hapenny. Beer and Food you'd have to pay for this on an official trip, so with Lisbon to come I guess in total about ?300 more spent on beer and food so far, compared with if I'd done day trips. Considering Flights and digs for each trip has averaged out at ?150 it makes Belgrade (my only day trip) my most expensive.
  17. But what we want to know is what's the programme worth?
  18. If thats out of your budget there is always Rossio less than ?20 a night.
  19. A suite here is only ?675 a night.
  20. I'd be amazed if we took much more than 1500. Two TMG planes plus Happy's is what? 600-750 people? I can not see much more than that travelling independantly, especially as the only low cost airline that seems to fly there from the UK is SleazyJet. My voucher was numberered 390, so as Traf says we've not sold that many tickets.

    Rossio

According to my Time Out guide - "Most of the cafes that the nervous dictator Salazar had earlier ordrered to ban - have dissapeared". So if Time out is correct I'd say no. I get the impression from the guide that the Bairro Alto and the Waterfront are the areas for the bars.
  22. Agree 100%. I got punched in the face off one of the security guys when I was at the front of the queue for the crime of being crushed against the turnstile. It was seconds after this the queue behind me was "attacked" by the police. Once inside the ground (15 minutes after kick off) and with the now standard Spanish efficiency ? there was no where to sit. I decided to get to some empty seats. What I didn't realise until the next day was that this was a section reserved for Spanish fans. Anyway I was followed by a number of Bolton fans and we sat down to watch the game. The next thing we know is the friendly Spanish police politely asked us to vacate this area by hitting anyone in the way over the head with a Billy stick. This was the cue for round two of the rather one sided boxing match. I managed to extricate myself from this and found another group of empty seats and managed to watch the rest of the game. At the end of the game, when the locals congratulated us on our historic progression to the next stage by throwing coins and bottles at us, Bolton fans started ripping out seats and throwing them at the Madrid fans. The police must have thought this looked like fun and so decided to join in. Cue Round Three and once more folks being smacked over the head with a Billy Stick or crack across the back with what looked like a metre long plastic pipe. Looking at the pictures in the press I think it is from this stage of the evening's frivolities. The next day when the rats compared our gifts from the police. Out of our group of ten, we had two with bumps on their head (non serious enough to break the skin), one with a sore finger (protecting his head with his hand) and two with lovely marks on their backs (not gained from vigorous love making - but will still need some explaining to loved ones).
  23. Two of our group got dipped on way to game, including match tickets. Whats worse loosing the match tickets or the Bolton fans trying to flog us replacements at over face value?
  24. I used to use BA all the time, which is why I never check my bags with them. Agreed crap airline, and when the rest of my airmiles are used wont be using them again. Lufthansa and SAS now get all my business. On a recent trip to Seattle BA lost a colleagues bags on the way out, then all his new clothes and bag on the way back. Was a two weeks before one bag turned up, other never did. He did get ?1000 out of them though. On his next trip, they even phoned him up to say, change your flight, you've only allowed two hours to connect and your bags will never make it!!! To make things worse, all lost bags get sent to Milan over land (they claim security issues) for sorting.
  25. if the weathers owt like Barcelona this week, I hope they're thermals Oli According to temperature dsplays it was 15C here during the day, bloody freezing last night.
