If we don't pick up some points in the next 5 games then we have problems. Games 7-10 include Utd, Chelsea and Spurs. He is coming out with all the excuses now. He can't really complain about lack of funds (Sunderland spent money etc) because he spent 3.5 mil on Steinsson and then drops him after he played 37 league games last season!! He has had 4 transfer windows and has yet to buy an experienced attacking mid-fielder which we have been missing for ages. Too much pressure on the defence due to lack of attacking options. 0-0 will be a good result.

In Newcastle's case its there own fault for not beating Fulham at home. We had the prospect of Chelsea away on the last game of last season but did the business against Sunderland at home. They can moan all they want - I on the other hand will be supping in Manchester.

After watching the comeback against Chelsea i felt confident/hoped we could get something yesterday ( I was praying because when do they ever make it easy). We are clearly incapable of playing our way to safety so we need to rely on others starting with Spurs beating Newcastle today. If Newc win i will be worried but that is natural i guess.

Take a draw and then sit back and watch Spurs stuff Newcastle on Sun. Play Bash and keep Elman on bench or replace Muamba who was rubbish again last week.

Taylor is in simply cos he scores goals. Have we lost when he has scored? GM should have brought Gardner on because at least when he gets the ball he would have tried to go forward at pace rather than sideways.
