  1. I'll be going for sure but they should have lowered those prices to the same as the Uefa games.
  2. Without checking in a book I think we beat them 4-0 at home and lost away 2-0 or 2-1 on a friday night (maybe live on sky?)
  3. Not sure if this is what you're referring to, but the Guardian website has been hosting Ricky Gervais podcasts for a couple of months now. Some are still available here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/rickygervais
  4. Yeah, it seemed to get fixed yesterday. I gave up and ordered over the phone on Monday and the tickets came yesterday.
  5. I remember going to Luton around 1981/2 and paying ??2 admission for the first time ever. All the Bolton fans were complaining about being ripped off. I think ??1.80 had previously been the most expensive. When fans were complaining about prices a couple of years before that, Ian Greaves, in his Evening News/ Buff column, justified the the prices by saying that they equated roughly to 4 pints of beer, which he said, had always been a good yardstick. It must be about 15 -20 pints to get in now on that scale.
  6. Yep, the Observer and Guardian are related.
  7. I've recently been listening to some 1991 John Peel shows and Thousand Yard Stare have cropped up a few times.
  8. telly certainly isn't an option for me but I may well call in at the kiosk
  9. Is anyone else having problems with the online ticketing service? I've tried a few times over the last couple days to buy Arsenal cup tickets and all I get is: "We are currently experiencing high demand. Please try again in a moment." I wouldn't have expected high demand at 02.00 o'clock this morning when I was trying
  10. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Tortoise & Bonnie Prince Billy - The Brave And the Bold Gruff Rhys - yr atal genhedlaeth
  11. Wasn't it Peter Thompson's debut? He came from Liverpool, initially on loan, around that time.
  12. The Watford mad site doesn't quite agree: "Bolton: Ricardo Gardner - The left-sided star was a constant menace to the Hornets rearguard and was rarely caught out of position in defence" http://www.watford-mad.co.uk/news/loadrprt...=MTCH&id=260511
  13. He said that he wouldn't pay money to watch Bolton and that Bolton season ticket holders were welcome to their tickets (or something very similar to that). Also he said that Chris Waddle told him that Bolton were just as bad to watch in the game against Arsenal.
  14. I just called in at the ground and bought some, they have a few left on open sale!
  15. Easy, Faro to Gatwick with t'easyjet. Then Gatwick to Marseille also with t'easyjet. Obv same way back. You can find the flight times yourself Hope this helps ok, cheers. I'll pass this on as an option
  16. My Dad will be on holiday in Portugal when the Marseille away game is played but he's still keen to go. I've been searching around Tap, Iberian and the usual airlines etc to no avail, so can anyone come up with a flight plan for Faro - Marseille - Faro ?? Either a day return or a one night stay would be fine. Maybe it can't be done? Now there's a challenge :-)) thanks!
  17. Maybe it's possible to get a cheap flight toTallinn and then a train to St Petersburg? You can certainly get a train to St Petersburg from Helsinki. There are also usually get cheap flights from Stanstead to Tampere, a 2 hour train journey from Helsinki, with Ryanair. Anyway we need to deal with Marseille first!
  18. 4 of us were supposed to be in Ipanema Park but someone messed up the booking and they only had room for 2 of us. We then had to make our own way to Quality Hotel Portus Cale about a mile away. Other than that we all had a great trip and wouldn't hesitate at using Happy Tours again :-) Btw did anyone else see Fulham manager Chris Coleman in Hotel Meridian, Porto ? We saw him having a drink in there after the game.
  19. You are Father Christmas and I claim my five pounds. Ahh....I've been found out
  20. I often fly to Helsinki and Finnish Lapland in the winter and the snow doesn't seem to cause too much concern. Then again, I guess they're a bit better prepared than us O:)
  21. I see that Mixu Paatelainen (or Mika-Matti "Mixu" Paatelainen to be strictly correct) has won manager of the month at Cowdenbeath. My finnish mates told me he uses Mixu in the UK because it's easier for us to pronounce . http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ath/4434018.stm
  22. I'm there with 3 others. It's around 55km from there to Guimaraes
