A few spring to mind for me The Oldham FA Cup 1/4 final as mentioned, The League Cup semi stuffing away at Tranmere was another low point. BWFC 0 Northampton 3 December 1989 We were riding high, they were nowhere. I`m sure that Phil Brown played up front on a wave of fans optimism. Oh dear! but the worst ever for me Notts County 2 BWFC 0 New Years eve 1988 away, freezing cold, in their old ground, about 100 of us rattling round on an open terrace in the freezing cold. it was one of them MASSIVE embankments like ours at Burnden Park. We were about 100 yards away from the pitch. They had a pen in the other half of the pitch. I swear it was so far away you couldn`t even make out the number on the blokes shirt who was taking it. Got home about 8.30pm. What a stupid idea that was. I`ve had many a disappointment over the years but that day I really did wonder what it was all about.

dont agree at all. i think that had they equalised which they could/should have done then none of the above comments would have been made. ok, its a results industry and i`ve not been on the coyle out bandwagon, i wasn`t even on the megson out bandwagon but generally i thought the standard was poor last night. at times they looked like they`d never seen each other before. petrov ran well but some of his crosses were crud and he never seems to be on anyone elses wavelength. reo-coker did well but i still say he is an average player who has an ocassional good game. robinson had hardly been on 5 minutes and he should have conceded a penalty, jussi made a real hash of a clearance that could have gone anywhere, there was some really poor play at the end from pratley who had a golden opportunity which he missed and on another ocassion we had 4 against 2 in their half and the ball was given straight to them (prattley was it?) the signs are bad

You can shout at Pratley, Eagles, Boyata and Reo-coker till you`re fucking purple. The other new lads you could say haven`t had a decent run to prove one way or the other. If you`re not good enough then you`re not good enough. I don`t get this thing about Boyata being a world beater, i`ve seen fuck all off him so far other than mistakes and bad positioning.
