Hmm, surely the mark of a good keeper is how many times they let a soft goal in which Wotsit has done a couple of times recently. Thats not quite true though as muamba was inexplicably dropped prior to the spurs game anyway. There was no shortage of midfielders, just a shortage of quality midfielders which lays squarely on the shoulders of owen coyle. You can pretty much say with the exception of Holden and Lee (who were both out of the equation in January) the current midfield was his personal choice as his strongest available. Granted Holden was expected back and that was unfortunate but there was always that risk that he might not make the same impact after serious injury Cahill wasn`t signing a new contract and that was that, it made no sense to flog him in January to me. Penny wise pound foolish. We were obviously in trouble and he should have stayed the rest of the season and gone on a free. And as for Sordell, either we needed someone to score goals NOW or we didn`t. The notion of buying a player for ?3million and then stuffing him in a cupboard is off the scale incompetence. That lad must be scratching his head.
