  1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bolton_wanderers/8511395.stm Coyle's words pretty much sum up my feelings with the issue, however I wouldn''t be suprised if he got a fine and a one match ban because after all we are "little bolton". The FA's justification will be that Davies is top of the most fouls committed by any player in the league. To many Referee's seem to go into matches with the intent to penalise Davies because of his track record, it has happened for years now so we may aswell get used to it.
  2. They have 7 days to find 11.5 million so realistically they need 7 days to find a new owner, who is willing to take on all the debt.
  3. Hello there, surrey_white reporting for duty. Been supporting the whites since birth, family moved down to Surrey before I was born and with a family who are Bolton crazy I didn't have a choice! But I have never looked back. First game was Gretna in the FA Cup was hooked on the football day experience from then onwards, used to get up to Burnden Park/Reebok in the school holidays so only used to see 3 or 4 home matches a season, however being so close to London yearly trips to Charlton were always on the agenda. My boyhood heroes like many my age were Super John, Tomo, Walker, Coyle, Mcateer etc. All my mates support the likes of United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool and have rarely if ever seen their team play, so you can imagine my delight when little old Bolton went on their cup runs in the 90's. Other highlights beating United on their own turf, I proudly wore my Wanderers shirt to school the next day to wind up the glory supporting brigade, had a smile like a Cheshire cat. A couple of years ago I moved up to Lancashire as I chose a University near enough to Bolton so I could get a season ticket, football before education! My dad always goes on about how lucky I am to see the Wanderers in the 90's and trips to Wembley for Coca-Cola Cup Final and Play Off Finals and he said the days of the late 70's and 80's were rather grim - this is why we have to stick together and support the team throughout the next 4 months to secure Premier survival. 4. That result makes my mood slightly better! All hail king kevin!
  5. Wins - Wigan (a) + (h), Wolves (h), Pompey (h), Birmingham (h) Draws - Blackburn (a) West Ham (a) Villa (h) Losses - City (a) Sunderland (a) Everton (a) United (h) Chelsea (a) Stoke (a) Spurs (a)
  6. Poor game today, however we looked like the only side that was capable of winning. Positives Muamba was brilliant, and the makeshift back four looked solid. Another poor performance from Cohen and Taylor, I would bring Gardner and Wilshere in against City. The "goal" was fine from my advantage point but SKD was getting nothing from Clattenburg all day. Couldn't understand the 4-5-1 formation today, the game changed when we went 4-4-2 we looked more comfortable on the ball and were better going forward. We need at least 4 points from City,Wigan,Dingles.
  7. 2-1 Wanderers, Lee, Davies - Zamora 23,345
  8. I think next season we will see the best from Vaz Te, he is such a great talent and is bound to be a top top player.
  9. Capello's just phoned Wayne Bridge and said "I've just spoken to JT and he's lost the captain's armband. Do me a favour and have a good look under your bed for me"!
  10. Wigan lost Blackburn/West Ham draw Hull/Wolves draw Plus points. As we knew before the match the game on saturday against Fulham is massive. Hopefully Chelsea will put a few past Burnley.
  11. Jaaskelainen Steinsson Cahill Knight Ricketts Lee Muamba Mark Davies Cohen Taylor Kevin Davies Subs: Al Habsi, Robinson, Elmander, Gardner, Andrew O'Brien, Wilshere, Weiss. Not a bad team that, suprised mark davies is back fit so soon, hopefully he can control the midfield like he did at Arsenal before he got injured. COYW
  12. http://twitter.com/stuholden22 let's hope he doesn't making any controversial comments ala Bent and Altidore, seems happy to have joined us though!
  13. confirmed on BBC that he has signed till end of season
  14. Okocha took penalties in a similar fashion, also whats going on with the goalkeepers blue neck?!
  15. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/4829539.Profile__Owen_Coyle/ wiki doesn't include goals scored in cup matches...
  16. overall it was a poor game, but the result is all that matters, knight impressed me again just wish he could head the ball to a white shirt once in a while, muamba was his usual solid self as was cohen. Hopefully this Weiss bloke can play left wing as all our play comes down the right hand side, chung-yong is our most/only creative player but his final ball needs to improve. Onwards and upwards
  17. Been put back to a 17:30 kick off sat27th March, live on ESPN, extra drinking time
  18. It's overhyped in the media but they do hate each other and its guaranteed to kick off, and if you think blackburn and burnley are inbred, have a look at the people of portsmouth
  19. preferably a home draw against a lower league team, Southampton or Derby, would do nicely
