They charge an absolute premium though.
  2. To be fair I reckon you could have asked a good percentage of the poor buggers sent to the front line who he was and they wouldn't have a clue.
  3. Nowack replied to Casino's topic in Terrace Talk
I actually think I would buy that.

Does anyone know of they will be selling half and half scarfs?

It is a good pub and will be my first stop on the way to Baker St.
  6. The fear of a coalition including the SNP will be a recuring message during the election, nearly as bad as getting into bed with the DUP.

I hope plenty of you got tickets in the designated singing area - Blocks 111 & 112.

"Subject to availability, supporters with a registered account on 7th May 2024 will be able to purchase a maximum of six tickets in one transaction, providing the booker has all other individual Customer Numbers and surnames to hand or the rest of the party are already in their network." Does this mean I need to get the other people I want to come along to register so they get a customer number?

I think Oxford have quite a large day tripper quota but are restricted by the same rules we are on purchasing. So unless you are good mates with a season ticket holder, member or someone who is a registered user from a few weeks ago then you won't be getting a ticket. I think they won't be bringing as many as they could.

I guess I will find out tomorrow. I'm sure if some neutrals want to go and watch a match they must be able to do so.

I have a few mates who used to come and watch London matches with me in the 90s and 00s. Bit of interest in a few of them coming along to this but as I'm the only one registered will I be limited to only 5, if that?

L/H White is punting in Austria so he may end up doing.
  13. Birmingham, West Ham and Readers Wives
  14. I know they have changed the boundaries but that is taking the piss.
  15. I think this could be another where the protagonist technically believes they did nothing wrong but misses the bigger picture
  16. Went out last night with an ex public schoolboy and a Met police officer, both of who on paper should be a free vote for the tories. They are very angry.
  17. Well we did introduce the immigration act in the 1960s because of the fear that commonwealth immigrants would lead to a housing crisis. I think BBs parents would have been competing with a lot of people but they had a lot more housing stock to provide for them.
  18. To be fair they may have less people on checkout but they have a lot more scuttling about filling bags for click and collect or home deliveries.
  19. Or The Politburo
  20. Bit of a trek from the railway station if that's your preffered mode of transport. Baldock is good for pubs and access but if coming via London it's probably not worth it. Drink in KX and get the last direct train possible would be my advice.
  21. They have a Harvester at the other end of the Roaring Meg retail park which is opposite the ground. Probably better getting a few cans and drinking them on the precinct though.
  22. Agreed. I don`t allow it on any of my jobs and they are hardly of national importance.
  23. Always made worse by the fact that they do some poor Yorkshire accent like Michael Palin in the seventies. At least when I do an Indian accent it is based on an accurate depiction of whichever region they may be from without a slight Welsh tinge.
  24. It was the day, as a child, I learnt what the word fatality meant. Dreadful.
  25. A pub round here had a barrel of it on a couple of years ago, I think a small brewery got permission from Bass or whoever owns it to make it. They did the same with Bass as well.
