Not sure who's contracts expire in 2026? But I think if certain players aren't going to play, they could well be loaned out for the remainder of their contract and at least that should free up some money for a few freebies that will fit into Schumacher's plans, think we'll have to take some losses on players we've paid fees for, but hopefully SS can grab a couple of gems as replacements.

Just read that article in the BEN about contracted players that might not fit into our system for next season and maybe lack of game time etc, sounds like certain contracted players are going to be frozen out, so go and find another club, that's how I'm reading it anyway.

If SS does go in for a couple of players that he knows, I wouldn't be surprised to see Niall Ennis and Jordan Houghton approached .

I'm actually not bothered if we got rid of most of them, but it's not going to happen. Maybe keep Toal, Forino, Forrester, Thommason, Morley and Collins, that's it. Any players that are going to be out of favour and still under contract, either try and get some cash for them or loan them out.

When can we starting talking to any possible new signings?

I always thought Evatt and Markham had done all their homework on our signings, all the computer stats and finding out if they were the right fit etc for us, turns out they didn't research to find out that any of them are leaders on the pitch.

I don't know anything about the lad, but Jordan Houghton at Plymouth, he's a 6ft defensive midfielder and he played under SS at Plymouth, think he's played 20 odd games for them this season, I think he's out of contract this season. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_Houghton

Hopefully with Etete, Matete, Coleman, Cogley, Santos, Murphy, Jones, and Baxter presumably gone at the end of the season, this should free up some money for SS to bring in some players that can take us forward.

I actually think we need about 10 new players in the summer, a keeper, 4 defenders, 3 mids and a couple of strikers, can't see it happening though as we still have plenty of players still under contract for next season.

Wonder which players SS would actually want to keep say that they were all out of contract? Maybe Toal, Thomasson, Sheehan, Morley and maybe Collins, really struggling which players SS actually thinks can take us forward.

This is where I'm at, most of these players know full well they won't be playing under SS next season, they won't want to get risked getting injured which could well jeapardize their next move away, so they’re not giving their full commitment imo.

Another inept performance, struggling to find any positives from this shower of a performance, massive clear out needed in the summer.

What was Evatt earning here 400/500K a year, he'll be taking a massive drop in salary as I can't see him getting more than around 100K if he was to manage in League 2 or lower league 1 level.
