I asked her to google it and see if any actual news agencies had any articles about it. She did and was surprised to find it was all bollocks. The majority of youngsters don't watch news or read newspapers (or their online equivalent). They just swipe from one thing to the next. Obviously if you are a "TikTokker" and you see a story is getting a lot of attention on there you will also add to it to increase your own views ... and these bullshit stories grow and grow and grow. Yoof told me last night he wasn't squeezing a spot on his forehead because doing that can give you brain damage. I laughed and asked where he'd heard that ... It's all very concerning.

A concern, IMO, is that so many kids nowadays use TikTok as their only source of news. The number of times I've been told something, which is clearly bollocks, but then told it's true because there are loads of people talking about it on there. Mind you, it not too much different with supposed grown-ups believing everything they read on Facebook.
