Hahahah fair, I don't profess to know a lot about it, but the way reporting has been of it all has irritated me. Perpetuating fear and causing more panic and misunderstanding than I think is necessary.
-
Nah, it's a tough flu. It may well spread a bit, but it's nothing that requires the panic that's currently being afforded. Like has been said, if you're feeling unwell, stay at home. Just as it should always be with any viral infection.

I'm sure there's plenty out there that'd take it on, I'm not hugely familiar with managerial candidates at this level honestly, but that's what the recruitment process is all about. Just because I or any other number of people can't name specifically the perfect candidate doesn't mean we should carry on regardless with Hill, because he's absolutely useless. For what it's worth though, I wanted Nolan, and I'd still have him now.
-
Why? It's a project now isn't it, not a survival mission anymore, lets get someone in that's got an actual philosophy and a tactical plan to build upon, let him use the rest of the season to make an impression on the squad and see which players he would like to keep on or convince to stay. Basically an extended preseason to bed in at the club in the hope that it can get fans back onside for next season.
-
I get it, I mean it's lower down on the CTE hit list but fair enough target it. It also should encourage the younger players to become better actual footballers you'd hope but as said above, that is really on the coaches. Are we going to be scaling and limiting contact in U18 Rugby games now as well to suit though?
-
I'm not having it. We've had a more than capable squad for the vast majority of this season now, the sheer lack of any semblance of a plan or philosophy is the most worrying thing. There was no expectations beyond a tiny bit of hope of what we could be building and a brand of football and somehow with such bare minimums to achieve he has failed spectacularly. The issue from here now isn't it getting toxic, I think it's worse than that, people are starting not to care. Two or three years ago yeah it might have got people riled up and demonstrate their frustrations but now instead people are just giving up. We can't afford that, he needs to go before it's too late.

I did a weekend in Stockholm where all three teams were playing over two days, AIK at home and then Hammarby v Djurgarden derby. Football was beyond dreadful but did I care? Atmosphere unbelievable, people were incredible, chants inventive and the whole stadium's up for it. I'd do it again no doubt if it didn't cost about £17 for a beer. The derby might have been the best game I've ever been to, all sorts of drama, pyro everywhere, ridiculous comeback, away fans had the game postponed for half an hour, some random Brazilian grabbed a hat trick even though he was gash. Top weekend. Even saw the fabled Chinedu Obasi bag for AIK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqdGZXi4Kxs

Oh it's up there don't get me wrong but Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and I think for me Django just edge it. Not had chance to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood yet but heard some good things.

Watched Inglourious Basterds again last night. It's an enjoyable film but not one of Tarantino's best. Never really gets any better than that first scene with Landa in the farm house. Although the scene in the underground bar is excellently tense. Very rewatchable film but he's done better.

I've had enough of the debates and reasoned arguments now. Since I posted the first time we've incredibly only got worse. He's done for me, needs to go now. Use the rest of the season as an extended pre-season and scouting period for the new man.

You could argue they don't at all meet the criteria though, seeing as they have Messi and Griezman and a massive infrastructure that can provide a wealth of options from a B Team and the best youth system in the world.

I work opposite Ronan's uncle, when I asked about the contract situation he was rather cagey, didn't fill me with confidence and I haven't pushed it any further. Right now I'd say it's likely he's gone, which is a shame as that's another young, potentially key player (and most importantly right now, asset) gone for nowt.
-
I mean, it's easy saying that in hindsight after his injuries but Mark Davies was a very good player and without the injuries could have been exceptional.

Speaking of Wiganb they gave our lads a pasting yesterday

Risky move on her part, she'd have been getting nowt else from me next time she needed an easy word count. -
To be fair, nowhere did I say booing and the like were what I was on about. On here, Twitter and Facebook though for me it's free game.

I don't know how this thread got to this point but it's all very tedious.
-
Well, yeah. I don't know how much difference it would make in reality atmosphere wise long term, but the games when it has been implemented have been better in my opinion. Just looks a bit drab and small time having a couple hundred spread out across massive swathes of empty seats. Don't get me wrong though, I'm only arsed because of how it looks on TV and to opposition. So I suppose it's all superficial, if you're so arsed that you won't go if you can't sit up there then your thoughts on it have more weight than mine.
-
I gather a fair few of you sit up there. For me, I think it just makes it look better (closing the upper tiers), more intimidating an atmosphere and a bit of togetherness having everyone packed in and lower down. They've said cost wise there's not a huge difference and fair enough, for me it was always an aesthetic and atmosphere issue.

We do, but we also pay to be entertained. If it doesn't meet expectations for the outlay then we have every right to voice those displeasures.

Just catching up on all opinions on both topics here. First of all I'm mates with a camera guy on a lot of the ITV stuff, they all knew, he was rogering the runner who I believe is currently 18 and it's been going on a while. The lad was going to sell the story for whatever reason, Schofield got ahead of it. It is what it is, who's to say the wife didn't know and it's been amicable, even if not though it really doesn't matter. Careers and livelihoods and privacy for me shouldn't be dictated by who you're shagging (providing it's all legal of course), regardless of marital status. It isn't a public matter. The Flack stuff is a weird one for me, from the details I know she's assaulted her boyfriend with a weapon whilst he's been sleeping, bit of a shit move. Now because of her status that she's willingly and happily sought after she's come under fire and in my opinion rightly so for her actions and that appears to have been too much for her to handle. Maybe I'm being callous though, I have no idea what that situation must be like and understand the press can be brutal, again we'll probably never know the real details and equally neither should we. Still always sad when someone sees that as their only option, especially when it's frequently not the case.

Sorry, I thought you had meant LOVS were criticising him. Everyone has a right to an opinion though, and like I said he isn't immune just because he might throw a hissy fit about it.
-
No they haven't... The opposite in fact. On another note, I hope all of this doesn't suddenly make him immune from criticism just because he might have a cry about it on twitter.

We cannot possibly afford to languish in League 2, it's absolutely necessary for us to hit the ground running and go up automatically. Anything less than that is a failure and would see us hit some serious financial problems in terms of cash flow I'd imagine, a stadium and infrastructure like ours isn't sustainable at that level.
-
It's gone mate, that good will and all in it together feeling has been wasted. If they wanted that feeling and the fans patience and trust they should have got Nolan in, Hill is a Boltonian United fan and that pretty much says it all.
