Cambridge United (A)
Well, for the record I'm not one of them, me wanting Evatt to go, doesn't mean I want us to lose....infact, it is the wanting us to win every match that drives my annoyance

Yawn, think you'll find we are all pro Bolton here

Brand Evatt
That's a fair point however, since Jan this year we have played 25 league matches (including the two this season before he was loaned), he started 2 of those and was sub 13 times. He goes to Wycombe, plays every match, Wycombe fans love him and they are top. Amazing what the trust of a manager and a run in the team can do for a player. And no, I didn't see this coming, I don't think anyone thought that about him, and yet plays every match for them and look at his form...his fault or Evatts?

Brand Evatt
Using yesterday as an example as that is the most recent match, my opinion of Evatt is based on this season plus the run from Feb to the playoff final, and I am now more convinced he isn't working. It's an opinion based on the facts when I look at them. More then happy we beat them yesterday, but it was a struggle against a poor side. We have Cambridge away, Mansfield home, Bristol Rovers away, Wigan home, Wycombe away, Barnsley home and then Lincoln home, and I still expect us to be about where we currently are based on form this season.

Poor argument there, you saying he has only had 2 fit midfielders in the 10 fixtures he has played with only 2?

Brand Evatt
He's the manager, yes he knows more then me, but the stats (and he says he is a stats man) show that in the league, when he plays 2 in midfield he has a win rate of 50%, with 3 it is 60%, but more importantly his loss rate in a 2 is 40%, in a 3 it is 10%, so having 3 in midfield (and they don't have to be midfielders) is statistically a better success ratio

He plays 2 in midfield (most of the time) when they are all fit

Appreciate the reply Gonzo. He did set up the team in the first half and then realised it wasn't working. It isn't as though they came out in the second half and all changed, he made two more formation changes and it came off. Point is, we can't keep having this one half shit one half good scenario, and then praising him when it comes off. He has built this team we have, and it still has issues all over the pitch, When it comes off, it's all good, when it doesn't it shows up repeatedly where this issues are, and they aren't going to go away any time soon

Brand Evatt
Same issues are still there, he is trying to work out what happened in the playoff final. He doesn't know how to fix it and keeps messing with formations and players. One thing he just can't let go is 2 in midfield. I'd be made up if we can go up this season, but I don't see it with Evatt. Luckily, no one in this division is pulling up trees.

Well, he didn't know what went wrong at Wembley and he isn't sure why we still keep having issues....I sense a pattern emerging here

Before watching I had Jamaica and Mexico, forgot that english born players with Jamaican heritage can claim to be Jamaican

this is what a manager who looks at himself, rather then blames others says "Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou says their inconsistent start to the season is down to him rather than his players."

Stockport County (A)
Good teams, teams that get promoted are NOT prone to extreme results. When they lose, it isn't 3-0, 4-0 or 5-0. They also don't lose heavily at home. Under Evatt, we are unfortunately a team of extremes, and this is the reason I believe he needs to go

Stockport County (A)
Makes you wonder what they trained for this week
-
Stockport County (A)
Well, this isn't a one off result though, we've had a three or four of those last season which ultimately cost us promotion, and we've already had a couple this season. Promotion is the goal, and I just can't see it

New Poll - Evatt
Haven't changed my mind, sack him now....no poll needed anymore

Apart from the social media bit, feels very much like the 1980's era, where we'd go to the local aways and be in the home end :)

New Poll - Evatt
Which is the correct answer for me, and at this moment in time, i have zero confidence he will get us promoted. The playoff final defeat has hit him, the team, the owners and us fans more then we believed, and my opinion is he is still living with that fear, shown in the formations both in midfield and upfront. Does he still not know what his best strikeforce is out of Dion, Vic and collins, disconcerting as they are hardly new players bought this season

New Poll - Evatt
Here's my burning question, did we all think we'd be in 14th place after 11 matches?

Changing a successful formation to yesterdays struggle, just shows his stubbornness will always override his thinking to what he knows is best, rather then what actually is best

Birmingham City (A)
Had to look it up but I last went there in Nov 1989, where I received a lovely stanley knife slash down my right index finger, and was lucky to only come away with that. One of the reasons in was in manny road with a few lads for when they inflitrated our end, and saw them out through the gate at the bottom of the terrace...I hate these lot with a passion
