You wanted facts, unfortunately facts are stats
-
I get where you are coming from but to me, he shows more effort than Randall
-
So let’s compare Randall to Burstow Randall made 0 successful dribbles Burstow made 1 successful dribble Randall had 1/6 successful duels, so kept the ball 16% of the time Burstow had 6/11 successful duels, so kept the ball 54% of the time Just comparing Burstow who you said was dispossessed more than Randall, with facts as you wanted Just for the record, Duberry and Cissoko kept the ball 44% of the time compared to Randalls 16%
-
I get that, but McAtee shows some effort for me. Randall on the other hand never has and never will. He is dispossessed multiple times in a match when everyone is screaming pass. He is a poor player that will see out his contract and leave on a free because no one will ever want him unless subsided by us. I wanted him to do well like every player. If every player does well for us, we have a good season but he is one of the reasons we won’t do well this season. He plays in such an important position in this system and provides fuck all. Again, only my opinion. The fee is absolutely relevant. When you sign a player for money and big money for us, you expect him to deliver some aspect of quality. Victor is on par with Randell aswell, if you are bought for big money, as was Victor, who was the biggest money signing of the last decade, then you have to deliver. Let’s hope he becomes as impactful as you suggest he is because we will all be happy as he will score and assist goals left right and centre.
-
So do I, every corner at our end was greeted by, bet this doesn’t beat first man, and it didn’t.
-
Again, as I said it’s based on opinion, my opinion is he is genuinely awful. I think he’s the reason we are so poor in the attacking third. Static when we are attacking and chasing shadows when we are defending. When Burstow is being tasked to win the ball, he needs to be running behind but he never does. He cost £1.2m, he should be better than he is but again, like I say, that’s my opinion.
-
Poor from start to finish for me today. Shit defending tied in with slow stagnant play equalled exactly what we all expected. There is a foul in the build up for their goal but we need to defend that better and the keeper should save it. Teams have already sussed us out and have 2 or 3 players on the wingers most of the time making it impossible for them to have an impact. This is where the number 10 should be available but Randall is not the answer. I know football is about opinion and some people think he has an impact but I don’t see it, I never have. He is an awful footballer who spends his time chasing shadows and losing the ball for the majority of the match. if we want to go up, we need a striker and a number 10 as the bare minimum, I’d like a centre half aswell that can actually defend.
-
Neat and Tidy for 70 mins, scored and just never got going again. We have been screaming out for a goalscorer for months and still nothing. Teams that go up see off teams like that tonight

Wasn’t this where you had to hammer a nail or two in

What a completely refreshing approach from a manager to make tactical and player changes to have a positive impact on the game. McAtee was great at holding up the ball in the 2nd half and two good finishes rounded off a good day at the office for him. Randall however was awful from start to finish. I don’t think he found a white shirt until he made a 1 yard pass backwards in the 4th min of injury time in the 1st half. He loves to run at the side of opposition players without ever actually putting a foot in. A poor player that feels like Evatt’s final parting shot. A good win and if we can start cutting out the defensive mistakes, I think we are in for an exciting end to the season. COYWM

What a great performance, defended the box outstandingly and created opportunities to win by more than 1. Proud today and over the moon for JD. COYWM

Boring, Turgid football yet again. What makes the board change their mind. I’m struggling to see when they call it if it isn’t now. We have just scraped a point against Cambridge who sit 23rd in the league. He’s lost the fans and his position is untenable. Call it now Sharon and put us out our misery.
-
Whilst I don’t think Dion has been at his best this season, 7 goals and 4 assists from 16 starts is a good return for an out of form striker. Unfortunately he’s another player that’s fallen foul of IE. It wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t see a replacement so IE can implement the system he tried at the start of the season. If 750k is true, then we are a truly awful selling club. He’s an asset in this league and will score goals at this level. It feels a bit like we are having our pants pulled down considering the amount Peterborough have just made us shell out for Randall.
-
I find his comments baffling post match. He said it won’t change if he goes because no one can change it and the players are the same. I’m sure he will be the first to say that the style and mindset has changed under him compared to under Hill. A change of manager changes everything from mindset, tactics to style of play
-
I’m genuinely concerned that he’s here until the end of his contract at least. Clubs don’t shell out on players for a manager that they don’t think will be here next season. Hope to fuck I’m wrong
-
Bit weird quoting a death threat which should never have happened. A tweet which will rightly get the lad who tweeted it banned from games. I’m glad we won, always want us to win games but it was boring as sin.
-
88mins of turgid football. He should go and any wanderers fan before 88 will have been saying the same. Today should be a great feeling, 2 late goals but I’m the most disengaged with wanderers games now than I have ever been. It’s boring from start to finish

I remember managers gone by that when it went bad, it turned toxic. This feels a lot different, fans have just given up. A few boos from the Nat Lofthouse Stand but that was it when the 2nd hit the back of the net, most just left. The attendance figure of 22k was miles off, lucky if there was 15-16k on today. The board have made their intentions clear that he’s here to stay, I don’t think the fans will be forgiving and flock back when they finally make the change. When will they call time on his tenure, is anyone’s guess but the fact they haven’t done it yet and there are clearly things going on in the background, makes me think they never will and he may be here come the start of next season and see out his contract which is a frightening prospect.
-
One of the things I find baffling is his persistence with Victor. He has an array of strikers in Charles that can score 20 goals a season, Collins who was L1 player of the year a couple of years ago and looked great last season. He has bought in McAtee who had 17 goal involvements for Barnsley last season but yet Victor starts. Victor currently has 3 less goals/assists than N’lundulu this season and I think we can all agree Dan isn’t good enough. Seen loads of wanderers fans saying McAtee isn’t good enough, yet he’s playing in midfield when he’s a striker. Let’s play Baxter at LWB and see how he gets on.

It was a weird feeling today, I’ve gone past anger with Evatt, I’m just bored of it all. His football, his style and him. I won’t stop going, I didn’t through the freedman era, who I still class as our worst ever manager and I won’t now but good grief this is starting to feel worse than when freedman was in charge. It’s stale, everything is stale from top to bottom. There is clearly an issue about giving Evatt the chop, because no board of any company can justify this current road that we are taking. His interview with Dearden sums him up for me, his arrogance and egotistical manner shone through for all to see. He won’t get sacked as the board clearly have an agenda that the fans aren’t aware of and he won’t walk as he needs the money from the pay off. We as a club are stuck in an endless cycle and when it ends is anyone’s guess
-
I’m the complete opposite here. I just want to see the wanderers win games. I don’t care for the Russell Martin handbook that says we will play tippy tappy football no matter the result. If we play good football in the process of winning football matches then great but at the same time, I’m just as happy seeing us face 25 shots but coming away with a 1-0 win. All I want is too see us win games and I’m pretty sure that’s what most wanderers fans want
-
I agree he’s capable of changing things but only like for like and on 70mins
-
Embarrassing. That’s the only word that can sum it up. Fear for the kitman or any coach that isn’t Evatt’s bum chum as they will be gone by tomorrow morning.
-
He should have gone after Oxford. The board should have made that decision. They didn’t and this season is over by the middle of September. I suspect he will still be in post until at least the next international break as the board will try to justify their decision not to part ways in the summer as he enters a favourable run of fixtures. Hopefully I’m wrong and a new manager is installed and gets the favourable run of fixtures to get some confidence back into the team
