  3. That covers everthing there is to say about this topic .
  4. Used to go home pissed up along the old railway line to Darcy, had to climb around the railings and barbed wire at both ends.Just dont know how i am still here,it was a weekly event with no memory in the morning!
  5. Just dont get it how this still happens ,i got refused entry to the Swan in the summer ,just walked around the corner and went in thro the courtyard .The place was nearly empty ,do the management of any of these places know of the tens of thousands of pounds these wankers have turned away over the years! Sign them up as orange warriors now
  6. In this windy weather does anyone remember 2 goals direct from corner kicks at the embankment in the same match?
  7. You have been warned a lot of it is very scummy now,how many were in Dirty Nellies on the last night of Burnden. A proper pub back then ,total dump now!
  8. Yes ,but the first two we went into really were desperate ,the old Corks and then what had been a gent suit shop ,all fancy bar furniture but nowt on their taps.Your right i should have gone down the hill to the Dog and Partridge, been a few years since i was in there.
  9. Now i know i am an old git but went out last night to at gig in the railway at Bradshaw. It was ok and finished at midnight,so a taxi took four of us into town, the first two places we went in had no draught beer on,just plenty of fancy taps with glasses over them. Finally got a pint in Barristers but then round to Man and scythe and they were shutting up shop FFS at 1 am on a friday.Finished with a couple of sad pints in the Brass cat. Now you lot on here like a drink and a laugh ,where should i have been?
  10. i think Beckford puts away his penalty he would still be in the team
  11. Peter Reid, the monkey man went on to have a decent career ,except for when he forgot to put a tackle in on Maradonna !
  12. This scum has been behaving like this my whole life and i am 51 now.It will be happening tonight in the back of a kebab shop or some crappy taxi shack with a disgusting sofa and a sticky floor! Anywhere from Bolton to Burnley,Rawtenstall to Rochdale or Bradford and Barnsley, with police and social turning a blind eye,the local councillors 2nd generation immigrants desperate to take us back to their ideal society.
  13. Jardell, bothered to go and watch him preseason at the reebok, was shocked at the state of him ,but laughed all afternoon as we sat with some south americans who gave him dogs abuse all game.
  14. At 2 -2 i thought there would only be one winner they looked totally shagged after they fluked a third. What is it with this diagonal ball over the top that we never win the ball never mind 2nd ball. With that backing and those corner stats alone we should have won this easy!! And no minibus after match.
  15. think you need to get back on those those red wiggly worms lad, aww right
  16. no mate i was thinking of franky worthies 2 against the scum in april 1979, he banged one in in the dying seconds against bailey. Not me at marl pitts only been there once this year for the beer festival that ran out !!
  17. no link ,just the memory of Gary Bailey clutching thin air
  18. i have never understood our connection to the Warburtons, i knew theses people back in the 60s when George was a director of our club and Ross and Brett have been around the club for years. This company has expanded to be a nationwide brand.but in all these years i have never heard of them wanting to push the club forward. It is as if they are just supporters like the rest of us, but in the posh seats
  19. Ask him does he go drinking with Patrick Collins of Daily Mail fame, bet he is his bestest mate.
  20. do treatment still exist ?i remember laughing at those stupid pillocks stood on the embankment in their paper hats .Back to back 2-0 will do us fine !
  21. For me it would be City cup match in 71 ,unbelievable game and i know that in the present day this could never happen !
  22. I seem to remember in the summer of 76 the club really tidied up the embankment by concreting over the old cinder terracing replacing the back wall and introducing the large double fencing. They put in a large entrance at the back and all this had a big change on capacity.
  23. Yes what a night that was trafick jam from Bolton to Leeds,we missed at least the first ten minutes and then ended up being in with the geordies behind the goal. Was a great atmosphere,my first time at Elland road, pity we blew it,but happy days
  24. Was on the embankment for the Everton semi,i remember the sharpened coins flying into the side of us,the lad in front of me got a big cut in his face. The Macdonald cup match was the best i have ever been to,we started on the embankment and crosssed the pitch in a brawl before the game started so watched the game rammed in the Lever end ,three of us and a bottle of whisky, you just dont get days like that at the Reebok !!
