If you are on about precedent then that’s about a decision from a higher court in the pyramid, binding decisions. A decision in a lower court can act as a precedent but wouldn’t have as much weight attached to it as a decision in a higher court. Cases are heard on a case by case basis and subtle suggestions as to the interpretation of statute and case law I find interesting. Out of interest, are you aware of the court pyramid structure?
