Fwiw ive nothing against Gartside being paid £330k basic with the rest in pension contributions and other benefits (if he is the highest paid director)he is worth like all us employed folk what his boss thinks he is worth. I don't think he does a bad job, yes he has probably made mistakes with some players contracts and what they were being paid but on the other hand he signed off deals to bring in players like Diouf, Anelka, Djorkaeff, Okocha etc etc. He seems to get nailed for the bad deals but no credit for the better deals, unfair in my opinion
