November 1st 15:00, the quest for cheap train tickets starts here. Looks to be around the £50/60 return mark at the moment.

Get a 2 together railcard with someone who is travelling with you - only costs £27 online and you get 1/3 knocked off, will get your money back on this trip alone and in to savings after that

Pins and eyes the way they are currently playing - no chance.

Wonder if the Chorley 5 are going?

bitch of a journey last time, maybe doing coach for reading mate if prices do t come down.

Think I went on a minibus last time when we were int prem. Lost 3-2 and Hierro played centre half and had a shocker.

Took forever to get there, would have been quicker going to Australia.

Nightmare on the rattler - its normally a 2/3 carriage chugger (normally the Sheffield train from Manc) with limited tables calling at every stop in the countryside and takes forever.

Nightmare in the car as well.

Actually, it will probably be a nightmare on the pitch too.

As its at the end of Half term week in October I would normally be in this with a stop over.

Not this year though.........

Ive been on that Norwich train a few times on the way to either Sheffield or Nottingham and looked at the list of stops thinking itd be a total nightmare of a journey, especially coming home.

I'm up for a coach to Reading, Radcliffe - if its anything like the Watford journey itll be a cracking day. The 7-1 must be avenged, and that big bully who had a problem with bald people.

it starts in liverpool, or it used to, going via manc and sheffield

when I was at uni, got on at manc to go to sheff, the one bog on there was already overflowing with brown coloured piss water

felt sorry for any cunt going all the way to norwich

I'm sure I once got a train from Bolton to Cambridge that seemed to circumnavigate the globe en route.

The best I can see without any cards is £57-80 day return from Manchester.

06-10 Piccadilly to Euston...Day Travelcard £39-80

09-30 London L/pool St to Norwich....Single £9 (at the moment)

5-30pm Norwich to London L St....Single £9 (atm)

On the plus side, you get into Norwich at 11-27.  It's well worth a look round and there are some good pubs, & you could have an hour & a halfish in London on the way back.

on the downside it's a bit expensive & it's a bastard lot of train travel for one day. I'm planning on stopping over.

Wonder if the Chorley 5 are going?

I'm out ????

You going Norwich Biggish?

£11.90 return from Liverpool Street with my railcard

Any London whites you cant turn that down

fancied norwich but it seems a massive ballache

You could get singles to London £12.50, use your oyster, then singles to Norwich.

Plus a railcard should be under £40 all in.

I did it to Ipswich last year and wouldn't fancy that again though.
