After Wycombe I was looking forward to a bit a Boxing day cheer. Soul destroying defeat.

Apart from Fury's camp, Warren and some moonmen folk are saying Usyk won. But most do agree the cards didn't sum up the fight. It doesn't matter how much Fury and Co bleat. When you fight any champion you have to create clear daylight with your performance. Fury didn't even get close.

I was in the Burnden paddock for that first leg. The second leg at Bloomfield Rd I came home with 2 black eyes. Which was nice.

The heavyweight division is piss poor. No one excites me. As for the PPV racket. I will never pay it. These desert fights are turds sprinkled with Saudi glitter.

Like I said. I get and understand the anger. I have no real argument with it. But I mentioned it earlier it seems trendy to be seen to be after Evatts head. I know Wrexham didn't beat us but I was just naming teams that have took points off us at home when we basically expected more. Wigan was obviously another. With us being 8th I believe it's not as tough as some make out.

No, basically that's it. Simple with no ambiguity. Don't get me wrong. I have done a full on Barnstoneworth when I've got home after a match. I've slagged everyone off and been an absolute twat all weekend. But my main thoughts were generally, how the hell did we lose that? Not that we got beat by a far better side. The last time I think I thought that was when Ipswich dicked us at home two seasons ago.

Stop exaggerating. I never said the games we got beat in were even. But I did say we have thrown away far too many points at home. I wouldn't say Huddersfield, Exeter or Wrexham are looking at us as easy. But they all took points off us. I can't be arsed going through the fixtures of everyone above us to see who they dropped points against. But you can gerrymander your figures to back your argument up as much as you like. We are 8th in league that is nowhere near as tough as some would have you believe.

One club with a golden goose doesn't make the league tougher. It makes them tougher. Also the other teams are doing well because of the ineptitude of the rest of the division. I stand by my opinion on that basis. I've seen nothing in the teams at the top that makes me think they are head and shoulders above even us.

I'm a tolerant person. Maybe too tolerant. It doesn't make me a snowflake or a happy clapper. But I get the feeling that Evatt bashing is getting trendy. Yes, yesterday was a complete and utter shambles and embarrassment. Enough is enough for some. I get the outrage towards him and SB. Expectations were high at the beginning of the season. Yes, we have pissed away far too many points, especially at home. But imo this league is piss poor and we are just another component of it. I'm of the opinion that Evatt will pull a rabbit from the hat. Tolerance has been my undoing in life plenty of times. But perseverance has prevailed too. I'm not here to change folks mind or to tell them they are wrong. My opinion may aggravate many but it shouldn't. Don't shoot me for it.

Of course it's not just psychological. We have struggled with a well constructed press in the past. But throw in a "well up" Wigan into the cocktail and it's trouble.
