  1. Jenkins is supposedly trying to buy Charlton.
  2. I draw the line at Wigan, they go down in flames and I'l be satisfied. Although with the way things are going more clubs could topple.
  3. Realistically then buyers are looking at buying a 2nd division club.
  4. I know what you mean, the bunting isn't going up yet. Logic says with the current state of play they won't get a buyer but apart from Bury clubs more often than not do tend to survive somehow.
  5. Aye, just had a quick read, it seems they have to find new owners before the season kicks off or they will be kicked out of the league. That's the situation I thought Wigan were in until this morning's announcement.
  6. It seems potential buyers are circumventing paying the £100k by just asking relevant questions and doing due diligence anyway. If the efl have agreed to them starting the season in admin then everyone involved must be confident that a takeover will happen. Similar to us last season.
  7. Macclesfield Town relegated, Stevenage reprieved.
  8. I suspect I'm not the only one on here but I remember when football fans attended games and didn't have a clue who the owners were and didn't care. I think Gordon Hargreaves was the first time I'd ever heard of anyone in a suit upstairs at Bolton. It was all so simple then from a fans perspective. Anyway like you say BD buyers who are prepared to throw cash into a money pit are getting rare and it's probably because of the emotional attachment from Mike James that we are still here.
  9. In the meantime there still doesn't appear to be any update from the admins re a takeover. I would have thought if there was any good news the admins would put it out there. Something like talks with a potential buyer are at an advanced stage more to follow blah blah. I can't find jack shit and imo no news is bad news.
  10. It seems it's only £1.5m release clause, the rest is mainly VAT. What's with Nixon putting the crying laughing emojis in?
  11. Agreed. I can't remember if the administrators take out a monthly fee or wait until the end. If it's monthly £2m isn't going far. It's a downward spiral, sell to exist until...
  12. Aye and most of that money is already spoken for, they can pay July's wages now.
  13. Maybe the owner if he is owned that money is prepared to negotiate so maybe that is what Krasner was saying, otherwise hopes doesn't cut it. Nixon now sounding like Barnier and saying the clock is ticking.
  14. If the whole squad is sold, then they have money to pay the staff and U21's. However a buyer would be left with no squad and little time to assemble one, so relegation to League2 is a distinct possibility. Also as I said yesterday and Casino had previously mentioned, there is this £24.5m that may be owed to the current owner. Hence due diligence needs to happen.
  15. Doesn't sound feasible, whatever happened to due diligence.
  16. B'Jaysus! he's the kind of non owner you need on board, a gullible simpleton. meanwhile back at Wigan there is a poster on LS who is adamant the club owe the owner £24.5 milllion. IF that is true, they're gone.
  17. Wigan I gather haven't paid July's salaries yet. If they don't pay their players then as we know they can clear off for nothing after 2 weeks. But they need to sell players to pay salaries and outstanding creditors. They owe £6 million to football creditors and £1.5 million to non football creditors currently. If they don't pay 25p in the pound to the non football creditors they get hit with a further 15 point deduction. In the meantime no buyer is stumping up £100k to look at the books unless there is something happening and the administrators aren't saying. Is it possible that their situation looks worse than ours did? who has the bragging rights that what I want to know.

I know it's kind of pointless now but I've had a few beers and I'm contemplating if we would have ever come back if we'd gone under last year. I reckon not.
  19. The timing of when he signed for us first time around was unfortunate, it was the start of our downward spiral. It's a different club now, optimism abounds.
  20. I've not felt this optimistic since the buoyant prem years. The feelgood factor is back, you can see it on the forums and twitter. No doubt IE has set his stall out for attractive promotion winning football and I can't wait.
  21. He sounded really bitter towards us and wanted us liquidated. I haven't noticed any recent posts from him in their own current predicament though.
  22. What a difference a year makes. Exciting signings, so much to look forward to, Bring it on.
  23. Heads are buried in the sand I think, there's going to be an almighty shock for some of them.
  24. Are these real fans or are they bots. FFS!
