  1. I remember him playing but was too young to know if he was a great player. He played for Bolton and that’ll do for me. RIP Freddie.
  2. I know,I was agreeing with you. I was wtf’ing at the Charlton fan.

    Derby

I want Derby to survive. They’re an old club with a big fan base. Good luck to them.
  4. Nat’s stats are still impressive. https://www.myfootballfacts.com/england_footy/england_national_football_team/england-players-strike-rates/
  5. All time England players who have 50 caps or more, Greaves has the best goal to games ratio bar none.

    Derby

Warm words on Friday night football towards Derby County from Neville. Don’t remember him being sympathetic to us when we were in the shit. Grade one twat that Neville.
  7. Mark Robins is quietly doing a great job at Coventry. 2 promotions in 3 seasons from league 2 and he now has Cov 4th in the championship. They were a basket case when we played them in L1 under Parky. I’d think he will be poached sooner or later probably before Evatt.
  8. I’ll say. He said his last pay packet at Barnet was £390 for the month. The board, manager and players are as one with the same aim and ambition. Bring it on.
  9. Mick the tache Mills, always thought he looked like a 70’s porn star.
  10. He did and I was right behind the goal.
  11. I know it’s 20+ years ago but fuck ‘em.
  12. Would love to see Dapo get his hat trick.
  13. Doyle 4 mins SSAFA the armed forces charity
  14. It really does feel that way. So happy this morning and so pleased for my daughter who has seen only misery and relegation. Apart from the Forest game of course.
  15. Last fucking time on Ifollow for me.
  16. Dapo 63 minutes SSAFA the armed forces charity
  17. I’ve worked in the Far East and Africa and there does seem to be a lot of United fans, even though they’ve never been. The other noticeable thing mentioned, especially in Africa was “London is the best city in the world” even though they hadn’t been to London.
  18. Sixth, scrape in on the last day.
  19. Indeed. I remember in ‘77 getting home from work, quick sarnie and off in my mini van to the league cup semi final at Everton. No ticket, no idea where the ground was in Liverpool but aged 18 and didn’t give a fuck, went on a whim. Managed to buy a ticket at the ground for the side opposite the main stand. I was so envious of the Bolton fans packed behind the goal to my left and wished I was in there. Anyway I had the sense to keep quiet except when we equalised late on and jumped out of my seat screaming, just me and one other scouser sat next to me. He was a Liverpool fan who’d brought his Everton supporting nephew to the game, I found out. T’was a great night. Unfortunately I can still see in my minds eye stood In the Lever end Latchford heading in the winner in the 2nd leg. Wembley a dream that would have to wait. Also remember Ray Clemence coming on at half time to do a presentation and the Evertonians singing Pinocchio at him.
  20. Remember those days like they were only a few years ago. 1976 was when we missed out on promotion narrowly to West Brom, I was heartbroken. Then we missed out the following season to Forest. Finally managed promotion in 1978 to the 1st division (now prem).
  21. I've had this pinned on my fridge since the Euros started and never in my wildest dreams did I think England would get to the final. Still fuck the bet Come on England!!
  22. It could be the new owners want to run the club sustainably but on the other hand I prefer your theory!
