  1. He doesn't look 6'6" what's going on?
  2. I've only listened a minute either side of 31mins 17 secs. You're right he's far from convincing, he could have said absolutely I'm very confident new owners will buy into this club etc etc.
  3. Well if the Venky's pull out it'll turn to chicken shit.
  4. It was a nice gesture from PNE and Everton. I never liked Spurs much or any London club tbh but the way Spurs responded to Muamba when he collapsed on their pitch was first class.
  5. A fair few clubs existence is hanging in the balance right now. I just hope FV are here for the long term at least to try and get the club running on a sound financial basis.
  6. I didn't know about the Leeds away but it's still out of order. If they get out of this with a football club then they may learn a valuable lesson in the process.
  7. You're entitled to your opinion whitesince63 and I do have every sympathy for the non playing staff at Wigan, certainly more than the scrotes from Wigan had for our non playing staff. However when fans consciously hire a mini bus or drive 3 cars to our ground to smirk and grin into the camera at our plight( we were on our knees) and then post it onto the internet with crass comments is over stepping the mark in my book. There are things that you just don't do, an example off the top of my head, footballers being aggressive with each other is fine but spitting at each other is overstepping the mark. If the roles had been reversed last summer I definitely wouldn't have done what they did. Last summer I wasn't looking for support from them, stony silence would have been acceptable to me, even comments laughing at our plight on their own forums is fine because I don't have to read it. But to rub our noses in it the way they did especially when staff would be losing their jobs is over stepping the mark in my book.
  8. Dunno! hopefully TB and IE have a handle on it but it'd be nice to know.
  9. I'm totally lost now on squad size, who's who, how many more players we need and in what position. 🤔 But I have total faith in Ian Evatt! I'll just have to buy a program first home game for the first time in donkeys years so I can identify the players. 😆
  10. If they think the efl are the villains now, wait until they say you're not starting the new season in admin. They did appoint some staff from within yesterday as manager and coach but that's just rearranging the deckchairs on the good ship Wigan.
  11. This from Nixon 2 hours ago.
  12. As the last remaining buyers tear off in their cars, the dust clears and there he is standing alone, Laurence Bassini.
  13. 500k up the Swanny. I can feel a beer with my tea coming on.
  14. I'd be up for it. I can only see a problem with it when social distancing is no longer needed and they want to reverse it.
  15. The efl got hammered for allowing us to start the season whilst in administration, would they allow that to happen again? only 6 weeks to the season start. Meantime, they have to find a genuine buyer first, due diligence needs to be done, proof of funds clarified, legal papers drafted, checked and signed. Tick Tock.
  16. Cracking film even though the South Yorkshire accent got my teeth on edge.
  17. He's 6' 6" and very quick. Can't out jump him and can't out sprint him.
  18. They've also got outstanding payments/instalments of transfer fees for players purchased which they still owe.
  19. The fire sale of players looks like continuing.
  20. Brand new poster on LS, first post this morning.

Hasn't Liam Bradford stood in for Jimmy Wagg before. Reckon it could be him.
  22. I'm calling you out as Nat Deeley, a long time lurker first time poster who posted this morning and mentioned us.

Remember this well, everything stopped when either jingle played.
  24. Found this photo on twitter from our game at Atherton yesterday.
  25. I could live with that Mounts. I was assuming though that Wigan would follow the path Bury are treading.
