I’ll be keeping an eye on Cambridge’s game on Tuesday away at Bristol Rovers. They drop points there and they will need points against Derby on Saturday, to save their own status as a League 1 club.

On the crowd element. I think, since we nearly went out of business dormant fans have started attending again. The prospect of losing your football club really does make you think of what life would be like without bwfc. I wouldn’t want to experience it again but maybe it did have positive repercussions. It also is a big help playing attractive football too btw.

Agreed, they were aggressive all over the pitch and very well drilled and the conditions probably suited them.

It’s crazy to think a club like Burnley could drop out of the football league. It doesn’t get any closer than that though, last game of the season.

IIRC didn’t Burnley have to win their last game of the season in the 4th tier to stay up. Might be 30 years ago or so.

Aye, I can see that. I suppose Baxter has to think of the long term. As an aside, apparently Nixon has tweeted that Baxter could be back in the squad this Friday. I’ll wait until Evatt says something but if he doesn’t we’ll know on Friday.

The week before last Evatt said Baxter was having his splint removed on the 15th and seeing the specialist on Monday 18th. Either that specialist has given the green light to play or not. Shouldn’t the club and the player abide by that specialists advice.

Another criteria to throw into the mix Bolton have provided 28 players who have represented England, total of 120 caps Ipswich have provided 12 players who have represented England, total of 155 caps 🤷‍♀️

I get you, but I’m old enough to remember the lesser clubs winning things and it was better imo than the usual teams winning comps year in, year out. A Forest or Derby or Wimbledon coming to the fore for a one season wonder or a few seasons was good for the punters and gave every fan hope. I’m not even going there on who the big six are. 😉

I suppose it comes down to big crowds or lots of trophies. The giants in the game have both. For me, I’d prefer the trophies, they create memories and go in the record books for ever. I’m still hoping I’ll see the Whites lift a League cup or even better an FA cup before I shuffle off.

Let’s get Vic, Charles and Baxter back and playing before the playoffs and get them match fit. The playoff semis are a minefield but if we get to the final, I think on a big Wembley pitch we will beat anybody.

We need to move on, try and remain unbeaten in the last 7 games which will stand us in good stead going into the playoffs.

Fair enough, our track record at their midden is poor, but the comment “I expect to beat Bolton at home in every single league we’re in” is just arrogance.
