  1. Dansen is first and foremost a businessman, second a rugby man and third Wigan Athletic owner in that order. Everything screams he’ll run them sustainably and it will be easier for him to sell the club on, when he wants to. His other option of bankrolling and gambling on reaching the Premiership, is just that, a gamble.
  2. Back to their odious ways
  3. Oh yes! Let’s hope Hillary Stonefrost is occupied and they better call Saul.
  4. It’s probably that they prefer to see us lose than Wigan win. Fuck ‘em.
  5. Here’s another off Twitter from when we were in the mire. Oh how we laughed.
  6. Brilliant! This page is becoming my go to for a laugh first thing in the morning.
  7. Badumtish
  8. I also recall at a home fixture the Wigan away fans singing ”Boltons’ going bust” So it isn’t just a handful of them.
  9. I yeah, I remember in 2019 when we were in the shit, going to the supporters trust meeting and the local MP, an Asian lady whose name escapes me, said a few words. It was clear to me she was there for moral support but there wasn’t much else she could do.
  10. It does suggest though, that the current owners are desperate to sell. Which probably means they’re not stumping up the cash anymore.
  11. Great! I was hopeful the mystery buyer was too good to be true.
  12. That last line, to preserve the future of this proud football club. 😀 What a great summer this going to be.
  13. Banter is fine, but they didn’t just overstep the mark, they took a fucking great run and jump over it.
  14. This does have a more ominous feel to it this time, as opposed to two years ago.
  15. Now you mention it, it rings a bell. At that time I thought Bury would survive and we’d go under.
  16. He’s probably not happy, because I bet he was on for a big bonus if he’d kept them up. I thought they may have kept him on for getting them out of the Championship. Hopefully they’ll look at Michael Duff at Barnsley.
  17. Can anyone remember what happened to Bury, because that will be an indicator of how close Wigan are to dropping out of the league. Did they do two lots of fixtures for Bury? I though they delayed their start to the campaign I can’t quite remember because my mind was on Bolton at that time.
  18. On TV this morning they said he’d got £125k per game.
  19. I know. Tifosy will be holding the money for a short time whilst the administration gets done. My money is being transferred to them not to Bolton, as everyone else’s money is. Once details of applicants, money received and tallied etc is complete, then it will be handed over to Bolton.
  20. If Bolton go bust, you’re not covered. I was answering the question of ”What if Tifosy go bust” Then I think you are covered by the fscs. Unless others know different.
  21. It’s possible they could go bust, They’re covered or rather investors are covered by the fscs (Financial services compensation scheme) by investing with Tifosy. I would think it’ll be a royal pain in the ass attempting to get your cash back through the fscs. But there’s risk in most investment really, Northern Rock back in 2008, Royal bank of Scotland had to be bailed out by the Govt. The recent turmoil of USA banks etc.
  22. Bolton have played in the top flight in every decade since 1888. They scraped playing in the top flight in 1980’s by playing and getting relegated in May that year. Will the 2020’s be the decade we don’t keep that record up.
  23. I would think they’re ripping the existing out. When the stadium opened we used to have a big screen, then for whatever reason they replaced with the current small screen. Fuck knows why? One thing that surprised on his video update. We have a 1000 people on match days using the corporate suites and boxes. We really are getting our act together.
  24. I don’t have inside knowledge but I think borrowing money from supporters is preferable to borrowing money with sky high interest rates from finance Companies. Which involves penalty clauses as well for late payments. NH has said they’ll use some of the money to invest in the playing squad, with the hope of promotion which will mean a lot more income, if it happens. He’s also said on the video, they’ll spend it on advertising in the middle ribbon, so I assume between the upper and lower tiers, so more income. Also, they’re updating the corporate suites, to keep existing customers happy but attract new business and grow that side of the revenue stream. if all that isn’t the success they think it’ll be, then the directors will take it on the chin and pay up, I’d expect.
