There were a few behind me in the East upper having a go at Coleman, like you say hard to fathom. He needs to build his confidence up and the fans getting on his case won’t help. I’d also hope Gilks is doing 1 to 1 coaching.

The only worry for me is Coleman. He’s 28 and only had 80+ appearances in his entire career, so he doesn’t have much match experience.

I really don’t think Evatt will change to a back four at this late stage and the business end of the season. There’s no need to panic. Evatt is struggling to fit CMG in but maybe he could play top 2 with Collins and give Charles and Vic a breather, they’ve done the heavy lifting for most of the season.

There’s a couple of montage videos of Aaron Collins goals and assists on YouTube. That boy has talent, can use both feet and scores goals inside and from outside the box. Some half chances and a few from nothing.

It looks as though Maghonas’ contract ends in May next year. I would have thought if Brentford wanted to keep him, they’d have extended it by now.

I watched them play Bromley in the cup over the weekend. They have a Santos replica at the back (Ekhpiteta) who is up for the scrap and throws himself about. Dembele in midfield is tricky although he had a quieter second half and Lavery took his goal well, they have Jordan Rhodes but he didn’t play. I know they were only playing Bromley but you need the right attitude playing lower level teams on their own patch and Blackpool had it in spades on Saturday. They knock it around well and It’s going to be a tough fixture for us.

The first half play was the best I’ve seen us play this season. Clearly Northampton had a rocket at half time and raised their game. This is when we need to raise ours, not technically, I don’t think we can play better than we did first half, but in attitude and effort. I still think we need a couple more leaders on the pitch.

Top player in the day when tackles were assaults. Players were written off at 30 back then but he joined us at age 29/30 and we got 4 or5 seasons from him.
