  1. I’ve been mulling over whether to buy this, but it does say a lot of Ultras are foot soldiers of the mafia. Apologising is maybe a wise move. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultra-Tobias-Jones-ebook/dp/B07JNR8GRT/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2VYQCEU4378BK&keywords=ultras+football&qid=1693377524&sprefix=Ultras+foo%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-4
  2. Kane Wilson out for at least 8 weeks injured. I don’t know whether it’s a new injury or an old one that showed up on the medical.
  3. If Wigan hadn’t had points deducted they’d be 5th and that would dump Fleetwood alongside Cheltenham in the bottom 4. This alongside Wigan winning away at Derby and iSaturday being their cup final suggests to me it’ll be our sternest test so far.
  4. Baxter, Santos, Dempsey and Ade the spine of the team. Solid and they all look up for the fight. Wigan on Saturday will be the first big test of the season.
  5. Indeed and Giggs turned out to be a chip off the old block.
  6. Crikey, he’s one from the past. I remember him and Danny Wilson tearing up the boozers in Swinton and Pendlebury in the 70’s early 80’s.
  7. A breath of fresh air yesterday for me was, there wasn’t any time wasting. Lincoln put a few long throws in, but no towels allowed. Balls on cones and players not able to kick the ball away, seems to work. Last season there were plenty of teams time wasting time but it never got added on, yesterday, no time wasting and 14 mins added on. Happy days.
  8. Championship. Leeds, Southampton, Ipswich (Playoff winners) L1 Portsmouth, Bolton, Charlton (Playoff winners)
  9. A game I’ll remember for a few reasons. Standing in the Burnden terrace the floor was just ice and it was tricky staying on your feet. Got back to my car and the bastard wouldn’t start, then when I finally got home I found out one of my Aunts had shuffled off.
  10. Another player I grew up watching and 69 isn’t that old nowadays but RIP Trevor.
  11. Some people just can’t handle the truth!
  12. Cheers Farny, I think if we’ve pulled the plug that will be the end of it.
  13. Does anyone know if the Baccus deal is definitely dead, because I see he’s still at St Mirren.
  14. One thing I’m certain on, this is a big season for the club and more so for Evatt. Expectation has arguably never been higher since our first season after dropping out of the Prem.
  15. Yeah, I’m not too bothered about not signing Wilson. At this stage we have to trust Evatt and Markham to come up with the right signings.
  16. Two ways to look at the Wilson to Derby rumour. We’ve missed the boat and Derby have stolen a March on us or, no Championship side has taken him so he’s a league 1 player at best.
  17. 😂 who can forget him. Poor Dave Clement, he didn’t know whether to give and go, play it long or just come inside.
  18. Tad Novak, I remember just laughing at him. Unfortunately, he and the team just weren’t compatible or couldn’t communicate. I don’t know if it was a language issue but he’d make runs down the wing when he should have stayed, then stayed when he should have run. it just didn’t work for either party.
  19. “Getting old, it ain’t for cissies”. Said by the late actress Bette Davis.
  20. Birmingham City are sniffing around Wilson apparently.
  21. Baccus won’t like Warnocks style of football if it is him, but whoever it is, it’ll come down to wages.
  22. According to Iles a championship club has come in with a last minute bid for Baccus.
  23. Evatt said last season Ndlundulu could be as good as Ivan Toney. Hope he’s right.
  24. It would make our lives a little bit easier.
  25. Can’t see it myself at £1 million.
