Looking at the presentation Cornwall was bottom of everything, no increases in infection rate etc etc. They took the view that people living there had behaved properly and being forced to lockdown and shut everything because that wasn't the case elsewhere would leave you feeling like saying fuck off. Like I said, without looking into it more I don't know if it's fair enough or not.

I'd have to have another look but one of my kids said that looking at the info in the presentation if you lived in Cornwall and had a business of any kind then there is no chance you'd be closing whether you were a pub or a hat shop.

My eldest can be at uni and live with 100s of other people, go into college, go into work at an essential business, exercise with one of their mates from a different household but can't go in a shop and buy a yankee candle or go to a pub and have a beer with the same person they work with and live on the same floor as. To be fair to Peely don't think he ever claimed to be an expert just said he'd once had involvement in microbiology.

By and large as a nation we're happy to doff the cap and toe the line with anything and everything thrown at us but I have a bad feeling there's a growing number of people who think this is a load of shit and sooner or later it will become unenforceable. The police couldn't cope with even a town deciding it had had enough and even if they could the court system couldn't cope with a town deciding not to pay fines. There are something like 6 million folk aged between 16-24 in the country and even if 5% of them said fuck off what could anyone do? Not saying I agree with that attitude but I think there might be a real risk it takes hold.

It's funny you should say that, I went with pain in that area thinking because of my age my doctor would probably check it and I even mentioned it but he didn't entertain it. Prescribed a stretching video on youtube instead.
