  1. Apologies meant last season (after relegation) not this upcoming one.
  2. I was told by an ITK that before this season Samizadeh had said he didn't want to sign full professional terms with us then in case it had an effect on his "big move". Apparently people have had a look at him, including both Merseyside clubs and maybe that turned his head. I've seen him play in the dev squad a handful of times and he looked like he had a bit of pace and movement, temperament looked a bit iffy and like he needed an arm around his shoulders constantly but that's purely opinion. Standard warning about any post referring to an ITK applies of course.
  3. The thing is with just standing regardless in seated areas is that sooner or later summat bad will happen, especially when combined with bad/lax stewarding. It almost happened at Shrewsbury this year when a push came from the back of the stand and there were some people in the aisles and a couple of young uns ended up on the bottom.
  4. Rathbone might be an interesting one for us to get from Dale, would bring us summat a bit different in the middle.
  5. It's Beevers I'm a bit worried about, think better and quicker strikers might see him getting caught in possession more and making some bad decisions - like you I hope I'm wrong though.
  6. I took Arsenal at 18/5 to win in 90mins so I hope it does!
  7. Did only 5 get elected and the others were co-opted so they've gone for half of 5 being 3 ?
  8. This is the bit I either don't understand or just don't get, I can't see that the ST legally has anything at all to do with the club so if we went into administration they would just be A N Other when it came to buying or taking control. If you look at the process then it appears that as a long as a group fulfils the criteria to become a community benefit society then they could call themselves Wanderers Supporters Trust and have the same status as the BWFCST? Neither would have first refusal to buy the ground and neither would have any rights to take over the running of the club, but both could be part of negotiations to do either in the same way as Joe Bloggs MOT Centre could? I might just be being a thick get though.
  9. I know I have to be being thick and missing something somewhere but I honestly can't find anything that says the ST has any sort of baggsy on things if it goes wrong, can't see anything on their site, can't see anything on supporters direct either. If anyone is in the ST maybe they can link to something that explains how that side of things actually works?
  10. Is the first refusal to run the club actually a thing ? I'm very confused as to whether the idea of running the club and owning the ground are being mixed up, especially in my head. I know that getting the Macron listed as an asset of the community was supposed to be a big thing which meant the trust could buy the ground but I'm not sure that even gives them first refusal on it. That's from the supporter's direct site here : http://www.supporters-direct.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Locality-Paper_pdf.pdf
  11. I was like Sweep so I've read the info on the link to the supporters direct site and I've been through the BWFCST site and I'm still none the wiser as to what they can actually do in the event of things going tits up? It all just looks like a group of supporters who have no real influence on anything especially not if the club just choose to ignore them ? The idea of supporter representation is one thing but it feels to me like the ST is pretending to have more power and be more important than it actually is, although maybe it's a necessary first step in a longer game. My eldest lad and some of his mates have a romantic idea that it's how we become a fan owned and run club but they're still at the age where the world is your oyster.
  12. Even though it would have done it automatically I've renewed our ESU just because I wanted to feel like I was actively doing summat. Reckon that leaves us with £769 for away/cup games and the lad has made me sign a contract saying we are doing first and last aways regardless of where they are.
  13. How "family" is it in NSU ? Looking at the prices I reckon I could switch me and yoof from ESU to a 1+1 in the family stand plus 3 lots of away tickets into the bargain. Think he's got his eyes on the crazy corner but 3 extra aways on top of what we would try to do already might sway him.
  14. Had their local radio on while waiting to escape the traffic, and as mind boggling as it is their manager was on and said that the red card was a diabolical decision but it wasn't as bad as the goal which was a clear foul by Wheater and I'd guess that's why the ref they're pointing the finger at the ref.
  15. Ended up standing in front of someone who had seemed to have gone with the sole intention of criticising the players from minute 1 to the final whistle, really makes you wonder why they bother. At one point Moxey, who was his favourite target, played a great ball to ALF which was greeted with a "What the fuck is that?" as it left his foot and then silence as it hit his target.Even my yoof wanted to break the fat bloke's jaw.
  16. Drove and happened to listen to Radio Shropshire for a bit on the way back, someone txtd in and said something like "if we had taken 1500 to an away game at least we'd have been heard". Can only presume his hearing aid battery had gone.
