  1. Randomly watched summat called A Cure For Wellness this arvo, absolute gash and didn't even redeem itself by being short either.
  2. Pastie Shoppe hasn't opened on Saturdays for years as far as I know, means anyone who works outside of Bolton town centre or is at school can never have or be introduced to their product so they have made themselves more and more niche over time.
  3. I'll see if I can find a clip but locally Right Band Wrong Planet sometimes wound up their sets with a song started with bagpipes, remember once being pissed in Hawthorns and standing having a slash while the bagpipe man was stood at the side of me getting ready for his grand entrance.
  4. I've been very positive so far but it's definitely getting to be a bit of a challenge. My eldest messaged me about 15mins into the second half and said "Don’t even think we look that bad tbh" but he's at college and presumably taking a huge amount of drugs so his opinion can't be taken at face value.
  5. Saw three new(to me at least) Brewdog ones in Morrisons yesterday, a chilli chocolate one, a milk stout, and a sour hazy ipa. Didn't appeal at all to me but might excite someone so just passing it on.
  6. That noise is appalling, hopefully they'll realise and turn the fucker off.
  7. Just had an email letting me know a gig due to be at the Ritz at the end of January has been rescheduled to 2022, make you wonder if we'll get into owt before this time next year.
  8. Surely not liking RL is as much an alarm bell for wooftery as ordering a soy latte is.
  9. Van Morrison - ego, drugs, and a velour jumpsuit.
  10. I misheard it as he pulls rules out of nothing so thanks for clearing that up.
  11. My mam used to have a carer who couldn't be arsed putting hers away after Xmas so just covered it with a sheet and put a chair in front of it and then unveiled it come the start of the next December. Think it was probably her who needed a carer looking back on it.
  12. Are they not unbeaten so far ?
  13. Realised who it was and they certainly aren't on WW, must have got crossed in my head with the Killing. Memory is frigging appalling these days.
  14. Memory lets me down but someone has mentioned The Bridge season 3 a few times, it's available on iPlayer now. Might have been @Casino but I'm not sure.
  15. Definitely could have been, certainly always steered well clear of anything traditionally viewed as manly.
  16. Had a mate who suffered from it, always referred to as "stage fright" by the rest of us who weren't afflicted.
  17. Just want to say I wasn't pointing a finger at the lad, just reading the thread and trying to make sense out of what had been posted.
  18. From that post and your other on Woodward, are you saying that earlier victims are responsible for later victims being abused because they didn't speak out?
  19. We'd have lost that a few weeks ago and the first half was ok so there's been some improvement at least. Managed to watch it sober as well and didn't criticise iFollow at all so huge positives from a Turnip household point of view. Mind you, getting wankered now though in the hope of being asleep before the highlights are.on telly.
  20. Don't forget that black pudding is already cooked so can be eaten as is with no messing about, lad from Wigan introduced me to just buying one of the small puds and eating it straight from the skin years ago. Do prefer it grilled though.
  21. Polish bloke I used to work with told me every man or woman should treat themselves to a nuru massage once a year, every year. He did also drink shit from a willow tree for a couple of months a year though. Don't know if he's still alive but there was a bloke in Horwich called Cliff Edge who would have you in absolute tears with a sports massage but it would be wonderful afterwards.
  22. Been reinvented as a subset of Sim Theory these days, if there's a pattern to be found people will find it.
  23. Know BAE was mentioned so just thought I'd add that they must still be taking apprentices on. Was talking to a lad I know (Blackburn fan unfortunately) the other day and his eldest has managed to get a proper apprenticeship at BAE. Seems they are still offering traditional apprenticeships ie not 1yr level 3 but there is obviously a lot of competition. Mate's lad said that when he went for some of the selection things he felt he was one of the youngest there (he left school this time) and it was pitched to them they might take 30 out of a 1000.
