I know we're all in shock, but fcuk me we've some right cases on twitter. Amongst other gems are ... "we've just won for the first time in 22 matches" - wrong. and a better one " Parky ends a run of 1 win in 27 games, which is a #bwfc record by some distance. But he is now also in second place, as after tonights win against Brum, he is on a run of 1 win in 22 games!" wrong and wrong. Can no fucker count any more.

decent half. we look as likely to score as them. Obviously, they're likely to score. We're not. But decent half.

I tipped them off about "a bloke I know" over here. Past his best, not played for years, and wasn't much cop back in the day. Was offered a trial ...

In my view he's sod all chance of his security standing up in admin or liquidation - wouldn't be too hard to determine that when the owner granted himself security the club was already trading insolvently and had no chance of paying it back. His past history won't earn him any leeway either. Then again, I'm not a lawyer or insolvency bod.

Seems to have gone largely unnoticed, but Donaldson's goal yesterday disproved Newton's third law. Previously, his rate of falling over backwards was exactly equal and opposite to the simplicity of converting the chance. Expecting a full EFL investigation on yesterday's goal. And maybe NASA.

Could be the turning point of our season. The great escape ... or hefty defeats from here on in.

As did Accrington Stanley many years later. And the first ever northern working class FA cup winners didn't last long either...

Attendances are a decent way of judging the old "how big a club are we" given it kind of builds in success and fan base. Founder members are a bit disadvantaged as attendances for the first decade or so were pretty shite. For anyone interested, here's our average attendances and rank split into 3 periods - the first decade or so, up to abolition of maximum wage and since. 1889-1899 average 7,000, rank 9th 1900-1961 ave 21,168 rank 15th 1962-2018 15,090 rank 29th

1889-2018 average crowds; Bolton 16,947, Preston 13,128. Seasons in top flight; Bolton 73 Preston 46 Bit unfair as we've had more seasons in the top flight. Better one; 1889-1961 Bolton 18,654 Preston 15,340. Seasons in top flight; Bolton 55 Preston 46 Still a bit unfair. Have to go back a way to even things up; 1889-1925 Bolton 14,145 Preston 10,193. Seasons in top flight, Bolton 28 Preston 28.
