  1. You're clearly not taking this thread seriously if you're bringing up caramel wafers. It's the Bounty thread ffs.
  2. it was definitely Ken who took all the dark bountys the thieving cunt.
  3. without looking on companies house (tbf the pre-emption rights one might be worth a read if I get bored just to see if there's any interesting wording in there) it just means the company can issue new shares - as you said, it'll be for the yanks - and that the normal pre-emption rights (existing shareholders are offered them first) are waived. It;s what we'd expect to see given waht we already know. The potential 'interesting' wording would be if there were any permanent removal of pre-emption rights, or removal for certain classes of shares. There probably isn't. And I may have exaggerated with 'interesting'. Given that you'll be all over it anyway, if you see any bits you think are salient feel free to share. Althiough for the sake of brevity, I'll emphasise "bits".

This time last year we had Cogley RB and Cissoko falling over his own feet. Perceptions maybe shaped by one or two enhancing their reputation towards the end of the season. Stephenson, Famewo and Davies look decent additions / improvements, and still plenty time for the likes of Dong to find his feet. And yes, we do need more quality, but those signings are still to come. We'll be reet.
  7. can't afford butter under SCR
  8. first seen as the ginger guitarist in the Commitments. RIP
  9. you might as well say how dare America criticise France - they wouldn't have won independence without them. How quickly the ungrateful colonists forget.
  10. no quality until we brought Sheehan, RR and Gale on. Gale looking really sharp on the couple of games I've managed to see. Nowt's working so far for the French lad. Thought Harrington looked decent until the fuck up for their goal, Temple ok, Inwood looks a composed footballer but a few times 2nd half he was out-muscled. Broome looks about 4 foot 6 ont telly, Ritchie didn't get a kick - nowhere near the first team squad yet, McAtee did nowt to push his case, Christie was Christie, and Wanderers tv coverage was shite. Never usually bored watching us, but was tonight.
  11. for a bloke who writes so much bollocks, he managed to nail the truth in one line

exactly this. Stephenson and the Spaniard can both play further forward, Stephenson has played in centre mid for Dundee, Christie offers cover at CB.
  15. does putting folk on ignore count as cancel culture or just general snow-flakery
  16. plus our 'board observer' is basically some kid who works for him who'll attend board meetings and report back to the boss. Not sure I'd enjoy that if I was Sharon or the other directors. All seems a bit odd at this point - and very 'off-brand' for Sharon - but I'm sure we'll find out more in due course.

difficult to judge either under today's circumstances, but I've always liked the look of Inwood.

I'll revise that ... Sheehan good, Gale looked lively and probably our main threat - plus nicked the ball back a few times. French lad had a promising start, but nowt came off for him after that. Stephenson looks defensively solid, can't remember last time I could say that about our RB, as did the new lad at LB. Decent enough run out.
  19. wakey replied to Johnnyrotten's topic in Terrace Talk
opinions eh. Sheehan's been decent and our wingers have looked lively so far - even if it's not come off a couple of times for the French lad. I reckon you'd 'identified the issues' before kick off if I'm honest.

Decent enough half for a pre-season run out. Hopefully get another 15-20 mins before the wholesale changes start.
  21. Come across more as property developers than owt else (and given the Trump pardon, dodgy ones). Managing to keep my excitement comfortably contained for the time being.
