Yes, can’t see our game being picked for TV which is a shame financially but if we get a cracking draw for round 4 tonight I can see a bigger gate for the replay but conversely if it’s a poor draw 5k to 8k max.

No question a fantastic signing by IE and CM. I was unsure of him at first after Traf but he’s more than proved himself so far and I don’t think he’s anywhere near his best yet. He certainly won’t look out of place in the Championship with us next year. 😉

Certainly will, haven’t seen the game just followed on the BN site but it’s another indication that we are as good or better than anyone else in L1 so whilst a replay may seem a little inconvenient, it could work out well for us especially if our draw is away against a big fish in the next round. Bring it on Wanderers.

Definite case of woe is me on the Pompey site tonight. To be honest I never really fancied them this season, they seemed to have all the luck with regular late goals. I’m not saying that’s not a sign of endurance but they never really looked impressive so I’m not really surprised they’ve fallen back and I still think they were crap against us and we threw 3 points away after that Dion miss. Rams and Posh our main challengers and if we finish in front of those two we’re up.

Sorry Lusty, I just don’t buy this “our players aren’t good enough for the Championship,” stuff. How do we know they’ll struggle, that’s just your opinion but players often improve when the competition improves and most of our players are young enough to do that. I remember Wilder taking Sheffield United up and pretty much keeping the same squad then getting promoted again into the PL. His signings then didn’t work and they struggled so since I believe the squad we currently have is better than theirs was when they were in L1 I’m confident that with a couple of additions we’d hold our own. After that it’s down to cash to push on and that’s my worry but let’s get there first. 😉

Apparently lots of interest from EFL clubs for this lad who did himself no harm on his TV appearance and performance in the last round. Just the kind of player we need, big, strong and very much a Nobby look about him. Don’t think he’s an out and out striker more an attacking midfielder but would fit very well in our system I think.

Awful news, condolences to Roy’s family and it kind of puts our spats on here to shame so enough moans from me about yesterday when the rest like your dad and Pete hopefully got home safely.
