  1. Well loan Kenny in January unless he fcks off elsewhere. He's not getting minutes at Celtic.
  2. I'm getting the words ..... "Panic" and "Fanny".
  3. THIS is what's depressing.
  4. He dud look a bit limpy when he left the field on Saturday.
  5. Late 78-79 season, Garth Crooks at Stoke who were 1-0 up going into injury time did this ball shielding. Big Sam thundered in & took Crooks, a Bolton player & the linesman out. I'm not sure Crooks landed inside the ground. It was magnificent.
  6. Not transfer as such but it would have followed ... Derby take-over, only confirmed last week, is off. Boo-hoo fckg hoo. Series overspenders. CLUB STATEMENT: The club can confirm discussions with Lion Sport to buy a controlling interest in Derby County will no longer proceed. The purchase process had been sanctioned by both the Independent Football Regulator and the EFL, notification of which the club received last week. However, today the club received notice that Lion Sport no longer wanted to continue with the purchase. For the benefit of any doubt, the club is now off the market and will continue to operate under the loyal, committed and unwavering support of Clowes Developments. Our preparations continue for the new EFL season, beginning against Charlton Athletic on Saturday. The club will offer no further comment.
  7. I know. 😪
  8. Via Canary Island tv, yes.
  9. It was the constant, relentless nature of the shirt-pulling which t'd me off. So obviously pre-planned. Doubtless every club does it a bit, but this was crackers.
  10. Yeah Worthy, but I'm not taken with the 's'. I've never met a bloke with a first name of 'Phillips'. Nor met someone with the surname 'Jimmy'. Your Mrs. got the Christmas decorations up yet ?
  11. David Lennard Graham Stanley
  12. If only, at the time.
  13. ... & now has a capacity of 27,111. In 1938 it hosted 75, 031 in a cup match v Villa.
  14. I saw the shirt holding (which Wednesdaydid throughout ... to the extent that it has to be coached), the stupid punch to the midriff and Harry Gray hit the deck writhing & holding his face. We know the rules & Xavi had to go, but the cheating & play acting on a fellow professional is so sad to see. ... & if the ref. had got to grips with the shirt pulling earlier it shouldn't have happened.
  15. That end at The Valley held 30,000 standing. Biggest in England in its day.
  16. David Lee Francis Lee Stuart Lee Denis Stevens Warren Joyce (trans)
  17. I have no issue with a player wanting to fight for his role in what he, given his background, probably sees as the epitome of clubs The fact that the club persists in buying player after player above him makes that a bit daft. Add that the fans, almost to a man, think he's shite doesn't help. But, ffs, tell us he's not available so that door closes. We'll sign him, maybe on loan, in January when he's spent 5 months on the bench & barely got off it.
  18. Maybe, maybe not but by the fck his football was turgid.
  19. Not exactly transfer stuff but "the youngest CEO in football" Sarah Guilfoyle at Wigan has been removed "by mutual consent" and replaced by an Anthony Cole-Johnson. No idea why but there have been shenanigans in ownership recently. Whether this is a good thing or a bad one I can't work out. Anthony Cole-Johnson has been head of commercial at Ospreys RU, in Swansea & was involved in accounts at Southampton fc.
  20. I think he simply cannot be as bad as he's appeared for us. But he has been very poor in actual performances. I was very patient, accepted lots of excuses, forgave his fails ... but he never gripped them & said "look, I'm a good player". He's floated about & given us next to nothing. Somewhere else he may turn it around. Peterborough may want him back, Evatt saw some in him ... twice now ... but he's turning nothing round here.
  21. Kenny was unpopular & unneeded there last year and they've just bought two more strikers. He's not required there & is unlikely even to get a squad place. That said the club won't need £1m or so, so it's in the clubs hands to keep, sell or even loan once more. If there is any respect between the clubs then Celtic will have told us if there's no chance if thre isn’t ... & they don't appear to have done. It must be as clear as day that we need more up front, especially as proven by today's game.

  23. I could have told you that anout 3,000 posts , by him, ago.
  24. ... who played pretty well tbh.
  25. Less sure about Watson. Harsh from just a few minutes but there's no obvious urgency.
