  1. This will get some the Trump supporting gammons in a bit of a spin - they'll probably side with Trump though. They're happy for him to fuck kids, so I'm sure they won't give a monkeys about some inbreds and sheep down in the Atlantic
  2. It'll be lovely, with a bit of cheddar on it
  3. Ecuador @125/1, lump on for a bit of each way action
  4. Trump says Israel should take their spot
  5. He got some Arsenal tickets once though

I've never noticed a problem on a Sunday with Vodaphone to be honest

Ridiculous really isn't it, this scheme is a waste of time and money, as was the Rwanda scheme (was that £700M for 4 people?) - no scheme will ever work, they'll just keep coming, and the number will continue to increase, no matter who is in power They only stop coming, if/when we don't make it an attractive proposition to be here
  8. I was reading earlier, it's looking likely that Trump will sign a deal, with regards to Uranium enrichment, that will be pretty much identical to the Obama deal (2015) that he tore up when first in office in 2018. He did of course call the Obama deal "one of the worst deals ever made" Iran whilst they've had the fuck bombed out of them, have still managed to mug Trump off. So, thus far, he's started a pointless war that has made everything economically far worse for the rest of the world. Iran still controls the Straits. The same regime is still in charge, different personnel, but still the same regime. he's destroyed their entire military capability, but they can still shoot down planes and seize ships. Russia have benefitted from a relaxation of sanctions and increased oil pricing. Still, on the plus side, he's made a fortune manipulating the markets (allegedly) Whaddaguy
  9. correct, these days, you get arrested and thrown in jail, if you say you're English

I've always wondered what sort of person actually wants to work on a town council, I don't think it really pays very much. I guess if you want to move into proper politics, and become and MP, it's a good grounding, but other than that, I'd imagine sitting in meetings and talking about the merits of either planting some new bulbs v painting a new pedestrian crossing must be pretty grim. Although, I'm not remotely community minded, I suppose those who are may find it interesting/rewarding
  11. He's put himself in a tricky position, as he's threatened to completely take out their infrastructure (power stations and bridges).......but realistically, he knows he can't do that (and he won't), and I suspect Iran know he won't do it either. We now have some weird standoff, where Iran is blockading the Straits, and the US are blockading the Iranian ports. At some point something will have to give.

I guess you're right, of course, because it's Reform, the ones that aren't being run well are always highlighted in the press, as a way of attempting to discredit them I agree, local councils would probably be much better, if they weren't run on political grounds - I don't know, or indeed care, who runs my local council, I've never voted in local elections, and we don't even have local elections here this May, for some reason

I agree, nobody gives a fuck about them usually - but the narrative/hype around these is very different - and Reform and Greens will make huge noise about taking over councils As @Traf says, too much success could be to their detriment, if they make a pigs ear of running these councils, as we all know Reform are, at present

Agree with all that - we can all see it coming, but I suspect a real good hiding to be doled out to both the main two.....who shortly may no longer be referred to as the "main two" - which I'm not sure anybody envisaged 5 years or so ago.

As it should be, hence her and that buffoon Anderson were turfed out. They're both a pair of dicks, who were just showboating.
  16. If Trump stood at his podium and said that, many would believe it.

Indeed, he has a 21% share holding in a company called Global Council, and their largest client is WuXi AppTec, to the tune of around £2.5M WuXi paid £1.42M to Global Council just as Mandleson was appointed Ambassador. It may well amount to nothing, but it doesn't look good.....and I'm surprised the US didn't kick up a fuss, as I'm sure they'd have done some "research" on Mandleson as well

I don't think that message is wrong to be honest - we're now entering an era of multi party parliament, like they have in other countries. It'll be interesting to see what (if any) alliances are formed moving forward. No doubt, some seats will go uncontested, so as not to split the votes - and I suspect that Reform will be the target of everybody. Apparently though, Rupert Lowe is attracting quite a few members, from folk who think Reform are going a bit soft, so maybe Restore will be in the mix as well
  19. He's apparently what the world needed, I'm still not sure why, and I'm sure it can be explained, but he's what the world needed I think Cheese often says it, but love of Trump is a pure cult, and it's getting worse. He can fuck kids or kill them in unnecessary wars, his supporters still love him regardless, as long as George Clooney is upset (and I'm never sure why ensuring Clooney is upset is such a good thing either)

Doesn't need to be costed - stuff like this is a vote winner with the Reform m0ngs, obviously when it doesn't happen, it'll be the fault of EU/Labour Party/Conservative Party/ECHR/Civil Service* *delete as applicable

Yes, but he was an eccentric, with scruffy hair and ill fitting suits Not to mention, he was "Churchillian" - I'm not sure if he is more or less Churchillian than Farage though

    We need to move on

I thought you were all for "democracy" - she was voted in by her constituency, so surely she should be allowed to stay until they decide otherwise? For what it's worth, she was only showboating, she knew what would happen after Anderson had been turfed out, purely to give her and her shit party even the tiniest bit of publicity.
  24. Correct, you should automatically have your licence taken off you at 75 or 80 years old

Indeed, PMQs is the biggest farce of the lot, had been for years. Waste of time.
