  1. Cloying middle class shite, but it did tug a heart string haha My kids love it but when I say 'it's not a real penguin' they keep asking if it's a robot, like the dummy penguin they use to get amongst them for the documentaries. Stupid bloody kids
  2. Very very easy win for kovalev. I'll give Hopkins his due, he toughed it out tonight. I fully expected him to look for a way out. Genuine legend and true artist, hopefully he turns it in now. Didn't enjoy watching him get clocked in the last. But kovalev is the real deal.
  3. Jesus. I was in my pomp then.
  4. It is but the suggestion is that it's unlikely And CWP you're right, it's bloody rammed apparently, don't envy you at the weekend haha
  5. Have been at about 11.30 on a sunday morning a few weeks ago - was pretty busy then. What strikes me is that we could've sold double the number, I bet. Shame they couldn't make more available.
  6. In my experience food poisoning is nothing like this. Having poisoned myself a couple of times. You feel a bit ropey in the gut and potentially nauseous in the lead up - normally quite quickly after eating the rogue item. Within an hour, you feel wrong, even if only a little. Then it builds into a big puke, repeatedly, then you have the shits, to clear out whatever got down far enough before your body Sussed it out. I have heard the symptoms can vary, and it depends how wrong the food you ate was, but passing out unexpectedly doesn't sound like food poisoning to me.
  7. Haha it's just ludicrous
  8. Pair of cunts, wright got phased out the year wenger won his first title and merson was pissed out of his head somewhere probably. That's players for you. Never stop to think that perhaps they are being shithouses. Always somebody else's fault. Have the gall to go public, acting like they are wronged because a nasty manager asked them to take his ideas on board. Ferdinand did the same thing with moyes didn't he, complaining that moyes showed him videos of jagielka. Really tough job to take over a big club after a boss that has won a lot. Above all else, it's just fucking rude to do down a fellow pro as publicly as they have. Pair of Cockney shithouses
  9. Mills easily. As a centre half you should be judged on mistakes. His whole contribution to the goal was as weak as piss. Gay. They've targeted threlkeld but hardly torn us apart down his side. He has failed to get tight a few times but he's understandably a bit cautious and doesn't want to dive in. As an aside rob on corrie has just checked into a bnb with a big bwfc pennant hung on the wall. Hopefully a good omen.
  10. No focal point to the attack, they are sat quite deep so putting it behind them for Beckford to run on to isn't an option, and he just coughs it up if he gets it to feet Mills has been poor, awful for the goal We are a nice team to play against I think, no bite or physicality Hope Lennon can shake things up because Norwich will comfortably coast to a 1 or 2 nil if things stay the same
  11. Absolute wank. Pathetic attempt to challenge for the header, if you can't win that, you drop quickly Absolutely shit
  12. Ha glad I missed it I think, though I have recorded it Good fight though. Bellew is the better boxer of the two IMO, can box well behind the jab. Cleverley slightly tougher (though kovalev punched through him like a piece of wet shit roll) and a better athlete. Really enjoyed the first fight, wouldn't like to call this one. Lean towards cleverley, be interested to see how the bookies have it. Edit to say, Christ, those are bloody tight odds. Never seen owt like it.
  13. Interesting fight this. I think age will tell. But then I don't think Hopkins takes the fight unless he sees something in kovalev he can exploit. Kovalev is basic, but hits like a truck.
  14. My family have a weekend in Blackpool every year in early December, I've been with them a few times, tend to stay close to the ground Spend their afternoons in this place playing pool and having a bet etc Typical of them to pick out a shithole Whole area around Bloomfield seems rough as fuck but my family don't seem to notice
  15. You could put many of our current travails down to his injury. Evans you fucking cunt.
  16. Christ I thought I was angry when I read trafs post, no word of a lie given the lights we have, there can be well over 20 fucking bulbs burning at any one time in our place. A 3 bed semi. My missus turns the big lights on in the kitchen too (there's another light in there anyway), even though she's in the living room. What is the fucking point? Literally baffles me. But the heating with windows open really gets my goat 'you can't heat the whole fucking world' I say to my family, but ironically that's probably what they are doing
  17. Agreed but there's no reason trade barriers can't be down. Politically we don't want or need to be aligned with Europe.
  18. There will be plenty of information thrown about if we get a vote Truth is its a few quid a week per working person so it's not huge sums that we contribute But should we contribute anything? That money is meant to develop markets that we then benefit from and trade with. After 20 years do Greece, Spain, Portugal have tasty markets that we can trade with? Nope. They just became dependent on eu money and cheap credit made available because they have a currency backed by Germany. Their economies are fucked, so what do we get out of this? Cheap labour is all. tbf that has propped up our economy. But it's cheating really. Also when you say you favour immigration, we will have added 25% to our population in 40 years by 2027. At least. We've barely built a fucking motorway in the last 20 years, and not much housing, bar endless blocks of flats. We are too crowded, it needs to stop IMO.
  19. I'm actually suggesting they can be interpreted either way. I think it's a lot. 13% of all goals scored don't come from shots in your own half. But it does mean we've scored plenty since allardyce played for us. Hundreds, even.
  20. France and Germany have a political commitment to the project, namely that it prevents Germany from trampling through France again, as they'd got into the habit of doing. Benefits to the UK are cheap labour. Don't think that's a good analogy at all, banks need a strong central bank behind them, which is why they would have moved HQs to London. Which companies would leave the UK? Why? Why do we need to stop trading with Europe because we don't want to be tied to 'ever closer union' or free movement of labour?
  21. Right on cue! I don't dispute your numbers (the exact number in the PL last year was 13.31% just over 1 in 8 goals). http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2311576/Premier-League-corner-conversion-statistics-Manchester-United-best-Newcastle-United-worst.html It's how you interpret the numbers. The original argument made by Garp (if I'm not mistaken) was that corners are as good as worthless... 13.31% of your goals isn't worthless, surely.
  22. Would any leave of their own volition? Do you think they'd be granted a kind of dual UK / EU citizenship? Lots of EU immigrants go back after a few years anyway, there's a lot of churn in the 650k Poles who are here at any one time, I believe.
  23. I imagine a hell of a lot of immigrants have had children, or got married, in the UK - so they will be able to stay. We might even offer everyone employed here at the time citizenship, who knows. A lot of the NHS staff are commonwealth immigrants (I think), not all EU.
  24. Sorry, I was pulled up for 'mano e mano' recently too (not by you). Is there a list somewhere?!
  25. Totally agree, but the devil will be in the detail if there is a vote. Because I think we could and should remain in a trading bloc, as originally voted for.
