Next season

You would think optimistically, that now the team would regroup, use yesterday's heartbreak as fuel, like Dempsey said and get top 2 next season at the very least. But football doesn't always work like that.

We have no devine right, being probably the biggest club in the league next season with the nicest stadium and most likely the highest attendances. Means fuck all as we've seen.

I'm genuinely dreading next season at the minute, Reading, Wigan, Blackpool and Charlton will only get better.

Rotherham with frigging Steve Evans in charge, Clarke Harris up top, guarantee top 6. Birmingham and Huddersfield will be competing. Barnsley and Peterborough are always thereabouts.

Then the likes of Stockport and Wrexham coming up as well, who will no doubt bring 4,000 to our place and treat it like a cup final and get a result just like Carlisle and Wigan did.

God I really need something to give me some positivity

  • We will be in L1 for a long time

  • That's what makes it all so deflating. That team should spend every waking minute being thankful for the support they've been given this season. Time after time they've let us down yet we all kee

How many managers are also shareholders?

Not worried about Birmingham next season. They've been a shambles this season and I'm sure some of their best players will be on the move. Don't know much about Huddersfield or Rotherham but generally relegated teams have poor starts as they get used to their new surroundings.

But such is IEs self belief that he's more likely to just go again with the same approach and if it doesn't work he won't know why or have any answers

Or misplaced arrogance?

I think it's the other way. Having self belief would be trusting yourself to make the biggest of biggest calls.

Making those key decisions at vital times when it's clear the opposition have you worked out.

He doesn't trust himself to make fundamental changes and more importantly doesn't trust his players too.

I've come to believe that his major problem is that he thinks he is far better than he actually is and because he doesn't recognise his limitations he can't do anything to fix them.

Brum, Rotherham & Huddersfield will be strong (unlike last years relegated sides they haven’t any off field issues I think!)

then add likes of Barnsley, Peterborough, Charlton & Blackpool it becomes a tough league

Always the possibility Wrexham could throw even more cash about

He’s messed up

Well Barnsley have already lost 5 first team players and expect Philips to join Duff at Huddersfield and offers to come in for Luca. They also don’t have any money to build with and are still facing  EFL sanctions over their ownership. Posh likewise have lost Clarke and are expecting to sell at least two or three of their best players. Blackpool have lost two important loans in Rhodes and Dembeli so why would they be a threat? Wigan won’t be spending either so  I’m not having all this negativity about next year, I still think we’ll be a big favourite for the automatics.

He will not change I believe he’s hard to work with and it’s his way or the highway ( from somebody I know who works at the club)

Aye, when someone's shown you who they are a cunt load times. There has to be a point where you have to accept that's just how they are. Playing silly buggers otherwise.

And his way does'nt work in Div1, its been proved.

Brum will have a huge budget for the division. If they use it wisely, they'll go up.

Using it wisely is the issue. Championship players don't want L1 football
