October 27, 20241 yr I was at a NHL ce Hockey game in the US and one of the players got sin binned or such like, none of the Yanks really understood why, and I certainly didn't. Anyway it got announced he had been reprimanded for 'embellishment'!! I don't think it very common in Ice Hockey given the local's reaction, but thought it was a great word for it!!

Fair enough really but their game has become far too sanitised and free kicks given for three fifths of fuck all. When I first arrived here, the teams would come out on to the pitch and knock seven shades of shit out of each other before the game even started. All this 'simulation' bollocks was always prevalent on the European mainland. We used to be above that and take the piss out of it but now of course, we don't have teams made up entirely of British players any more.
