Artificial Intelligence

It’s clearly not long now until the machines finally rise and end our bickering, but in the meantime I’ve been trying to get to grips with it, as it’s all a bit unfamiliar to me.

Just been using Deepseek to come up with some promotional blurb for work, and have to say it’s really rather good. Doesn’t do images yet, which is disappointing when all I asked for was a picture of Avril Lavigne eating a bratwurst in one go, but for boring stuff it’s brilliant.

any experts on here who can suggest a better app that will allow me to make pictures. (For work, not just Avril Lavigne)?

Understandable I suppose.

Concern will be (not just for this crime) dodgy characters setting others up; making it appear that someone else may have committed a crime.

Good

We need to do a deal with Greenland like the Rwanda one... set up some freezing cold Stalags like the ones in Siberia to sling the knife wielders and child abusers and it'll get their population numbers up to challenge Trump

Nah, send the cunts to Guantanamo. Let Trump deal with them and annexe Greenland. Win-win.

What a beautiful and unspoilt place that is mate. If you ever get chance, be a devil.

Both the US & UK refused to sign the global AI agreement today, which related to the regulation and implementation of the emerging technologies.

The Vice president of the United States of America actually said “Pro-Growth AI policies should be prioritized over safety”.

Nothing to do with the billionaires funding teh current administration at all.

'Is there something specific about AI development or future capabilities' it asks, - Yes, learn the correct spelling of humour ffs.

I've been showing the kids I teach this one this week,

Free Canva AI generator, the more you put in the better then image comes out, although this image was "Bald Bolton Wanderers fan...." and the image looked like a Wigan shirt

I think we will end up all being directors rather than creators in the not too distant future.

We will dictate the personalised content we want from AI and then it will create what they want to watch for us.

Basically a lot of porn.

I can't explain my reasoning in much detail, but I absolutely detest it being used for music, film and art.

If, for example, an AI version of Bob Mortimer was on my screen doing Bob Mortimer stuff, I just don’t think I’d find it funny.

It’s not him.

We still like other humans performing because they’re real, actual imperfect humans.

that said, AI generated music has been around for decades really. Moog said so.

Me too. But as it gets more advanced I can see that changing. All of a sudden - you won't need to be a film studio with a billion dollar budget to create a film. You'll just need AI and your imagination. In some ways that might democratise things and might be an exciting new world.

It'll be a world overflowing with absolute shite. The distinction between truth and lies will be lost forever.

It's just a new way of creating fiction. People probably said similar things when cinema was first developed. But yes I think there will be loads of content with less quality control. In a similar way to how music has gone.

Someone who doesn't like you could just generate a video of you doing some heinous shit, and you won't be able to prove it isn't you. People who actually do heinous shit can just say it's AI. Nobody will know what 'reality' is anymore. Basically, we're fucked.

I suppose that's possible. But people will get wise to the technology as it develops I'm sure.
