I listen to a lot of geopolitics podcasts. And the general consensus is that what's happening in Sudan is an hugely under reported - for lots of different reasons.

Could you please draft a list of current global conflicts? I’ll need to make sure I condemn all of them from now on before I discuss the Israeli/Palestine conflict. Otherwise I’m an anti semite who only focuses on Jewish people.

well I just did via the link you posted

it all sounds terrible

but we pick a side, right?  I'm just not clear on who the good and bad guys are, I think the RSF are the bad guys, but they're both being accused of war crimes

or is it all just part and parcel of war that people die?

maybe I will just condemn both sides

Well with the Israel conflict there’s only one side classed as a terror organisation and only one side (well with the help of Europe, USA and others) who’s trying to eradicate said terror organisation. I’m with Israel. We pick a side, right?

If you are very simplistic of views in terms of how politics and history works, then yes.

I’d rather listen to foot soldiers over a bloke who sells theatre tickets when it comes to discussing tactics on the ground. But each to their own

I wasn't positing an opinion, but again, goes back to our previous chat. So you somehow feel that you have a right to be right, and if there is anyone who questions that they are 'unwell' or to be undermined in the most basic playground way.

It just seems to me that smacks of a very delicate ego, the constant need to either be right or if not then belittle. That doesn't seem a great place to be, but hey, I'm just a ticket seller what would I know.

As for the idea that a solider would have a more interacte opinion on global politics or warfare is a bit of a misnomer.

When you signed up, you went to whichever front the politicians we civilians elected. You have no political say, you are a tool of the state. I'll take your take on how it was on the ground any day of the week, but to say you then have a clearer idea on global political issues, well  that's just nonsensical.
