Sheehan and Simons should start and the other would depend on what SS wants to do tactics wise more solid then Dempsey if he wants to attack then Forss.

Sheehan suspended

The other alternative view I’ll offer after reading today’s posts and listening to Schumachers comments, is that Erhahon and Gale’s best chance of being involved Saturday will be from the bench.

It doesn’t sound to me like he’s ready to play them from the start Saturday, I think we’re more likely to see them starting on Tuesday.

So the critics won’t like it but I think we’ll see Morley start again.

Personally I’m ok with this. I think it’ll be a straight swap, Simons for Sheehan - behind Dempsey and Morley.

I agree.  SS rated Morley enough to start last week, ahead of Simons.  His opinion of Morley would have to have fallen a lot based on 1 game (in which he was 1 of many playing below usual standard) to drop him on a day there's no Sheehan.  Any talk of changing the system seems pointless, its not happening.

I don't think anyone is going from a relatively long absence to starting a league game.  We have 5 games in 15 days and then a week off.  Everyone will start 1 or 2 and nobody will start all 5, he's not rushing any back on Saturday (for the toughest of the 5 on paper) as you say.

Feel sorry for Tutu last season around this time he was our most dangerous player. But then went off the ball. Usually our players improve massively when injured.

I'd even play Cissoko over Tutu. I just don't think he adds any end product in assists or goals. Cissoko at least adds some unpredictability.

But hopefully Gale is back fit

Not him then 😁

We've got 5 matches in 2 weeks starting Saturday so realistically everyone is getting gametime.

In my old days we just would play him anyway and give him another players name.

Correct - we don’t need to rush anyone back.

It would be a different story if we were in poor form, had a small squad, had played mid-week, were riddled with injuries, or were coming off the back of a poor result.

We’re not.

And Schumacher’s comments suggest Saturday might be too early for Erhahon or Gale.

However he has surprised before with selections.

I think Schumacher is playing the long game re selections, and who can blame him after two, arguably three seasons of promotion bids scuppered by injuries and the disruption they cause?
We have, in theory at least, a more competitive squad now and anyone in it should be able to step up and perform without weakening us, so whilst we may speculate about who should play and argue our preferences, we shouldn’t complain about any selection he makes as this is the squad Schumacher has assembled to get us promoted.

We are thereabouts - 6th as it stands, 7th if Barnsley win their games in hand, but the majority of the season is ahead of us and he should know enough about his players to make adjustments in January so I can’t imagine anyone will be rushed back or forced to do a Dempsey.

Simons starting with Morley and Dempsey.

I think SS will go with this:

                         TSL

Christie.     Toal.   Johnston.   Conway

                        Simons

              Morley.        Dempsey

ACD.                Burstow               Tutu

Subs: Miller Cogley Forino Erhahon Cissoko Forss Dalby

Is that as last week with two eights and no number ten?

Cogley at RB

Awful team two clean sheets since Christie replaced Cogley....TSL looked more assured because Christie talks to him.

Midfield he seems to have the one holding player now Dempsey is fit and he has gone for Simons this week.

Morley had half his game taken off him last week with him giving the dead balls up to Christie  i hope he takes them this week or he is not worth his place. Again Burstow will be isolated but it looks like Dempsey will push on when we have the ball and Morley will drop back and play a two with Simons.

TuTu i just do not get at all  Gale scored as many in 60 mins in the B team midweek than TuTu all season

He is a wingback and not a winger.....And that chance first half last week is what you can expect from him.

Seems SS has give up for now on having a ten so no place for either McAtee or Randall on the bench

Having a fit Gale nowhere near that squad is just crazy.......Not having no need to rush him back bollocks he has been in full contact training for three weeks and scored another screamer midweek.

1-0  Luton Fuck up from the left ......centre half and keeper leave it to each other and  it is nodded home

Four gilt chances missed first half as we snatch at clear cut chances

Dalby,Forrse,Erhahon, Cissoko Replacing Morley, Tutu, Burstow and Dempsey all on 65 mins

Two Forss shots scrambled off the line by Dalby in injury time.

Happy with that.

There’s lots of either/or’s that are completely reasonable and understandable in my mind, and that’s one of them.

Cogley at RB will be an informed, researched and specific selection based on the opposition and type of game SS is expecting.

So you are happy dropping a full back that has helped the keeper get his confidence back resulting in two clean sheets

And also happy to play a wingback as a winger....was that researched and analysed??

Its all about opinions

5pm  tomorrow we will see and i hope i am saying well done to you and i was wrong

Maybe Christie is feeling the effects of two heavy games.

Maybe the manager thinks we need a bit more support for the wide man going forward. Cogley certainly offers more in that department.

Chill man chill.

EE isn't ready to start and Sheehan is suspended, he's not gonna change the shape so it has to be Morley.

Cogley gives ACD more a help and is a steady away 6/10 player who gets himself out of trouble with his pace, but he has a error ot two in his game. EE i can understand may need another run out before starting no issue there. Morley had most of his game taken off him last week.....Hope that is given back to him.

It is TuTu...........He just A is not a winger and B Not a winger

Don't think RW has mentioned the wing position in his ITK posts :)

Could be Gale or Cissoko.

Go have a bacon butty lad :D

Yes he has only Simons and Cogley are the changes from last week replacing Christie and Sheehan

Nothing wrong with our right wing whatsoever!!!

Guarantee its Neither or even TuTu
