Politics - Part 2

Kemi Badenoch doesn’t really need to speak in public more than once a month and she’ll do ok. In that respect, keeping her head down is proving very effective.

Sniping from the sidelines and criticising everyone clearly has merit. 🙃

This is part 2 of the Politics discussion.

Yep and only 33% who could be bothered to, voted for this Labour government. With a turnout of only 60% (2nd lowest since 2018) I’d guess only around 20%ish of eligible voters voted Labour. It just makes a mockery of Starmer’s constant claims that they had a huge mandate.

Yes it’s the peculiarity of our voting system but the huge majority gave them a false sense of infallibility. IMO.

If 40% can’t be arsed voting then their opinions count for the square root of fuck all I’m afraid.

You’re basically asking to be governed by whoever those who could be bothered to get off their arse votes for

Fuck em, frankly.

I imagine it'll be a much higher turn out next time, if it ends up being a race between Labour and Reform as looks likely.

Just watched his resignation speech. We really didn't need that music playing in the background.

Whatever you think of him, as Prime Minister, I think he deserved 5 minutes to say his piece to the British people with a bit of dignity.

That's the problem with our crop of politicians on both sides, they want to make it all about "them" and their wives and families like some Eastenders episode.

My standard resignation speech as previously delivered:

"You're not pumping me you bastards, here's my JL (Jacking Letter) and you can stick that in you effin pipe and smoke it" followed by upending the bosses desk onto his lap and walking out
